Worrying about you

——— Aaron Hotchner.

Hotch drags me by the arm, leading me away from the burning house. I let him guide me to the other police officers and the rest of the team.

"I can't believe what you just did, Chapman."

"It's part of my job, Hotch, you can't scold me for that!" I grumble, rolling my eyes as I free myself from my boss's grip.

Rossi raises his eyebrows, looking at me, and next to him is JJ with his arms crossed. They both look like my parents, with the attitude they just adopted.

Hotch is like... like my father figure. He worries, scolds me, and makes sure I don't end up dead in explosions, like now. JJ is a friend, but she acts like a mom with her advice, making sure I eat and helping me when I feel bad. Rossi is like a loving grandfather, I have been to his house, he gives me food but he doesn't let me get drunk like the others and he also takes care of me. They are like my family and I like it, they take care of me, but sometimes I hate that they worry so much.

"Hotch, Rossi, JJ, please. I'm fine, nothing happened to me."

"You were in an explosion, Vivianne Chapman! You could have died!" JJ tells me in a scolding tone, walking over and grabbing me by the shoulders. "Viv, you scared me so much."

"I'm sorry, Jen, I really am. But it's my job, and I'm fine, right?"

"Chapman, you scared the shit out of us and put yourself in a lot of danger. He had a bomb, Vivianne, the house is on fire and you could have died!" Rossi says, severe.

"Come on, I said I'm sorry." I grumble, looking at them. "I am really sorry. But it's my fucking job, you can't punish me because of that."

Hotch sighs, grabbing my wrist.

"Oh, yeah, we'll see."

"What? Hotch!"

"That was stupid, Vivianne, I can't believe what you did." Hotch shakes his head, dragging me towards the ambulance.

"I'm fine, I don't need to be checked."

He growls and gives me a warning look, so I stay quiet while a paramedic checks me.

"Everything is in order, agent. Maybe your head hurts from the explosion, just take paracetamol or ibuprofen." He tells me and I nod, docile.

I walk next to Hotch, who holds my arm again, and we get into one of the cars. I sigh as I curl up in the seat, pulling out my phone to check the time. We'll be home soon.

I look out the window of the jet, watching the city full of lights. Rossi sits next to me and gives me a gentle smile, patting my thigh affectionately.

"Hi, piccola."

"Hey..."

"You don't look very cheerful."

I shrug and look at Hotch, who is sitting down and looking over the file one last time.

"I think he's going to scold me."

"Aaron cares about you, Vivianne, it is not that he's grumpy and bossy."

I look at him, raising my eyebrows.

"Are you sure about that?"

Rossi laughs.

"Okay, it is, but you know what I mean. He wants to take care of you, we're a team and a family, but you don't make it easy for him with your dangerous stunts and that attitude." He tells me, his voice soft and kind. He smiles slightly. "You know that, right?"
