After a few moments of awkward silence, Leo huffed. "So? I've been sitting on the cold ground for a hot minute or two. Ask your questions."

Leo was silently scolding himself for speaking so rudely to a literal PRINCESS but it was late. The sun was going down and he needed to figure out a way to get his glasses to Prince Jason.

"I..." Piper looked quite perplexed. What was she thinking about? Why was this face of his so familiar? "...didn't really think this through..."

Leo burst out into a fit of laughter. "No kidding!" He almost fell back.

"You're a princess, darling," He wiped a tear away. "You should be more careful! For all you know, I could kill you in a second!"

Piper looked at him up and down. "Nope."

"'Nope'?" Leo raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean 'no'?"

"Look at you," She gestured at him. "You're shorter than me, not to mention quite scrawny."

"Hey!" He yelled out. "I have a very desirable body for a matter of fact."

"Mhm," Piper made a face of distaste. "Totally."

"Oh please beauty princess," He smirked, getting up and dusting off his clothes. "May I bring your attention here?"

He gestured to his workshop, more specifically, the weapons leaning on the side of the outer wall.

Piper was too focused on Leo that she didn't even notice the huge weapons next to her. This happened to her quite a lot, she really needed to be more observant.

"Okay now that's just plain weird." She smiled, trying to contain her laughter.

"Hey!" He crossed his arms. "I'm the best blacksmith in the whole empire!"

He puffed out his chest in pride. Piper simply raised an eyebrow.

"Really? How have I never heard your name before?" She remarked, and Leo rolled his eyes.

"I go by a different name." He explained, picking up his woven disc. "And I'm sure you know that."

"What is your pseudo name, boy." She glared.

"Jeez- your mood swings are almost as bad as Katie's." Leo grumbled under his breath. "McShizzle."

They both were in silence for a few moments.

"McShizzle?" Piper repeated. A slight throbbing banged on her temples. A memory. What was it?

"McShizzle." Leo echoed with a proud smile. "Cool name, right? I used to run a food shop, but now I just do that on the side."

That it was again—the throb.

"Uh-huh," She said slowly, watching him pick op his disk and set it against the wall of his small workshop, right below a huge double-sided axe.

"I'm going into the woods, and you should probably get home my princess." He smiled at her and started walking towards the lake.

"Wait!" She stopped him before he could go any further. "I-Uh...McShizzle right?"

"Mhm," he nodded with slight confusion in his tone.

"I...I think I...I think I remember you." Her head started to throb more. "You...you and...who was that...?"

Her vision got blurry and splotches of black was visible only to her. It was as if her brain was actively trying to get her to forget.

Forget? Forget what?

An image flashed in her mind. A boy. A little boy and something...red.

Her hand subconsciously covered her shoulder.

That scar...

Her eyes felt like it was about to pop out of its sockets, her head was practically screaming out in pain. Her body started to heat up and she started sweating.

What was happening?

And more importantly, why did the random peasant boy look more scared of this situation than herself?

Hello my sunshine's!

I'm so sorry this chapter is soooooo shorttt 😭😭😭 (literally just 500 or so words like-)

Like I said, my phone is just so buggy nowadays I can't even write a full chapter without it taking a monthhhh

It doesn't help that I'm broke right now either 😑👌

Hopefully next chapter will be longer and take a shorter time to write out!
