"Hello?"
I answered my phone while my eyes were still closed.
"Bro! We have a game today."
Sabi ni Gino sa kabilang linya.
"Kaya nyo na yan. I want to sleep."
I yawned between my statement.
"Sige. Pag hinanap ka ni Julie, sasabihin ko ayaw mo syang makita."
Napabangon ako nang marinig ko pangalan nya.
"Manunuod si Julie?"
"Oo bro."
"Saan ba yan?"
"Sa gym parin ng School natin."
"I'll be there in 30 minutes."
Then I ended the call. Mabilis lang ako kumilos. Hindi naman ako kilos babae. Naligo ako. Then nagbihis. Pagwapo ng konti. Then, alis ng bahay.
"You did it bro! Pag si Julie talaga ang bilis mo eh no?"
Gino pointed out which I ignored. I wanted to see Julie.
"Where is she?"
"Nasa library pa daw sila ni Maqui. Tatapusin lang daw nila assignment nila."
Gino answered. I just gave him a nod. Pumunta ako sa bench at ibinaba ang bag ko. Then, steal the ball from Dave and shoot it at three point area. Shoot!
"Ibang klase ka talaga dude."
Amaze na sabi ni Dave. Then, we did our fist bump.
"Sino kalaban natin?"
I asked while resting my both hands on my hips.
"Jailbreaker parin."
Clifford answered and gave the ball to me. I caught it and did my dribbling moves.
"Yow dude! Sup?"
I acknowledged him. He just answered me with a nod.
"Sila parin? Di pa rin ba sila nadadala?"
Nagkibit-balikat lang sya. Napatingin ako kay Gino. Ginaya niya si Clifford. That's why I throw the ball to him. Umiwas siya kaya hindi siya natamaan at ang gago tawa ng tawa.
I scanned the gymnasium. Ang daming tao. More on students ng SJU dahil dito gaganapin ang game. May iba't ibang banner. Mostly ay para sa akin at kay Clifford. No doubt. Clifford has really the good looks and magaling din siya magbasketball. Too much for a new player.
Pumito na yung referee. Ibig sabihin mag-start na yung game. Hinanap ng mata ko si Julie. I don't know why I'm searching for her. Weird. Wala pa sya.
"Before the game starts, shake hands muna."
The announcer said. Nakipag-shake hands naman kami. Ang sama ng tingin sakin nitong Guerrero. Kung nakakamatay lang ang tingin, malamang patay na ko. Grabe din sya makipag-shake hands. Galit na galit. Kinuha ko na kamay ko. Masakit eh.
After ng shake hands, we went to our respective places. Being the tall player, I am the jumper same as this creepy Guerrero. He smirked at me which I ignored and focused on the ball. Clifford got it. Nang magawi ang tingin ko kay Guerrero, he smirked again. What's with him?
