Can't Go Back Now

Peridot's POV

Had she been eve's dropping on us this whole time!?

My cheeks flushed with embarrassment as I was just staring at Garnet, who seemed to be enjoying herself. She wouldn't stop smiling! Amethyst was looking akward as ever as she held out a long "uh" while sheepishly stepping backwards. I stepped back as well, "um, I-I...." I stuttered for words as I shook my head and I looked at Amethyst and Garnet back and forth. I suddenly took off running through the water into whatever direction that came first, my long legs made it easy to sprint across.
"Wah- Peri, wait!!"
Amethyst was attempting to follow me but kept stumbling and was held back by the water as I ran out of the large puddle and continued to dash away on ground.
Looks like my mind finally snapped back into place.
What the heck were you thinking!!!! 'Kissing' her?? Its like you just want to be killed!!!
I angrily clenched my head tightly with one hand and darted to the right, I think they were chasing me, but I couldn't quite tell by looking behind me. I finally skidded to a stop and hid inside a large trash pile already with a convenient hole in it.
What the hell are you going to do now!? Because of your stupid actions, you're going to be slowed down even more!! And even worse! You broke, like, the most important rule!!! Dont ever befriend a rebel!!!!
My body had tensed up to the limit and I let out a shaky breath, attempting to calm myself. As my body loosened I began to wonder if I could even return unpunished at this point.
Oh god- I dont think I will be able to get out of this. If I do return, they'll be waiting and I'll face punishment, even if I do finish the mission. And if I dont, they'll definitely be able to find me.
I looked to a dent on the bottom of my right mechanical arm, a tracker was placed there ever since I was first made, They're going to be able to find me if I dont remove it.
But if I do I could never go back!
My eyes started to water as a feeling of dread washed over me.
Its hopeless! Either way I am going to die!!
I held my arm up and smashed it down on a nearby stalagmite straight through the dent, it did cut my real arm a little.
Whats the use anymore....
I hung my head down and began to full on cry. I cried for hours without end.
"Now its never going to get better, and its all.their.fault."
I whispered to myself in a strained raspy voice, everything is just useless now. When I started to think they had left me, I saw light through my closed eyelids. I opened one bloodshot eye subtlety and noticed that the top of the pile had just been lifted up by Garnet. I shut both my eyes as more tears passed uncontrollably and I still hung my head down, not wanting to talk to her. Or them. I heard footsteps walk up behind where I had just seen Garnet and sensed a purple gem.
Great. Its her.
I wish I had never touched that...

My eyes tightened even more and my body tensed at my resenting towards her.
"Peridot, Im very sorry."
Garnet stated with obvious regret in her voice.
Ugh, now they're talking to me.
Why cant they learn when to just leave me alone?!
"P-Peri? You okay?"
I heard Amethyst whimper beside Garnet. "Dont call me that." I snapped, making her stutter.
"Uh-, O-Okay..." she stopped talking for awhile, creating a long silence of tension before Garnet finally spoke up. "Peridot, whats the matter?" Garnet asked softly, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Dont touch me." I hissed and begrudgingly shrugged her hand off my shoulder. I wouldn't like to recall what happened earlier with Amethyst.
Again, there was a long wait of complete silence, ultimately, I wiped my tears off with my elbow and decided to stand up.
There was still akward silence as they stared at me, awaiting an answer. I sucked in a sharp breath as tears started to well in my eyes again. I turned around to face them and clenched my eyes tight, hopeing to stop the tear flow.
"I cant go back..." I managed to squeeze out with my swolen throat and strained vocal chords.
"What?" Amethyst asked, bewildered.
"I peirced their tracker," I held up my right arm, now cleary with a hole stabbed in it.
"Now they know I have betrayed them." I scrunched my eyes even tighter. "Im stuck here," I spatt out harshly. "A-And I know they're gonna be looking for me they can easily find me im completely vulnerable for when they come here they're gonna punish me heavily for me betraying them Im going to be tortured days on end to show what happens to who disobey! I-I dont want to be tortured!" I painfully shrieked, finishing my shrill rant with heavy breathing, uncontrollable crying and scared, constricted pupils. I gripped my hair in terror and my body violently shook as I dropped to the ground and hunched my back over, quietly sobbing. Amethyst stuttered, trying to comfort me, "H-Hey...Its okay-"
"No its not!!!" I screamed, my voice cracking.
"They're gonna kill me! Because I couldn't finish the mission!! A-and its-its..." I slowly turned around to them with wide eyes at realizing, "ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!! IT WAS ALWAYS YOUR FAULT!!!! YOU STARTED THAT STUPID WAR!!!! YOU DESTROYED EVERYTHING I EVER CARED ABOUT, YOU SMASHED THOUSANDS OF GEMS!!!! AND ITS ALL BECAUSE YOU CANT OBEY!!!YOU- YOU...YOU KILLED HER!!!! YOU KILLED MY TOPAZ!!!!!!"
