- Chapter 22 -

The maid compound is calm and quiet as usual. The other maids go about their duties, tending to their tasks with practiced efficiency.

In the corridors, a maid is walking towards Helia's room with a small package in her hands.

Cassy spots the maid walking down the corridor, the small package clutched in her hands. Curious, she quickly steps in front of the maid, cutting off her path.

"Hey, who's that for?"

"It's for Helia."

Cassy's eyes widen slightly at the maid's response, her interest piqued. She looks the maid up and down, a small smirk appearing on her face.

"Ah, I see. And what is in the package, if I may ask?"

The maid shrugs. "I don't know he just told me to deliver it to Helia."

Cassy's smirk widens, her curiosity growing. She decides to pry a bit further, a hint of mischief in her tone.

"He? So, it's from a man, then. Who sent it?"

The maid seems uncomfortable. "I can't tell you. He told me he would find me and kill me if I told anyone that he was the one sending the package."

Cassy's eyebrows raise in surprise, her interest now fully piqued. She crosses her arms and looks at the maid with newfound curiosity.

"Well, now that's intriguing. So, he's a scary and secretive man, huh? And he's sending a mystery package to Helia, of all people. How captivating."

Cassy smiles, taking the package from the maid's hands. She looks down at the small, mysterious item and grins mischievously.

"I'll take care of it for you. Wouldn't want you to get in trouble with that menacing man now, would we? I'll make sure Helia gets this package safe and sound."

The maid looks at her unsure, but after a few seconds, she decides to leave the package to Cassy and walks away.

Cassy looks at the package in her hands, her smirk slowly turning into a sly grin. She has no intention of giving the package to Helia, feeling intrigued by the mystery surrounding it.

Cassy continues to hold the package in her hands, contemplating what to do with it. Her thoughts are filled with jealousy and a desire to cause trouble for Helia.

The idea of that girl receiving a gift from a secret admirer annoys her greatly, and she relishes the thought of withholding the package from her.

She starts to open the package to see what's inside when she's stopped by the voice of Anna.

"Hey what are you doing?"

Cassy jumps slightly, surprised by Anna's sudden appearance. She quickly tries to hide the package behind her, a hint of guilt flashing across her face. She puts on a fake smile and tries to play it cool.

"Oh, nothing. Just checking out this little package here."

Anna frowns. "That girl said it was for Helia so why are you trying to open it?"

Cassy's fake smile falters slightly as Anna calls her out. She quickly recovers, trying to come up with a believable excuse.

"Oh, I was just curious about what was inside, you know. I was just going to take a little peek, that's all."

"Give it to me." Anna extends her hand.

Cassy hesitates for a moment, still intent on keeping the package for herself.

However, she quickly realizes that she's been caught red-handed and that she has no real excuse to refuse Anna's request.

With a reluctant sigh, she hands over the package, her expression clearly unhappy.
