The journey to Toji's room is a slow and difficult process. The darkness of the corridors makes the path seem even longer. With each step, Toji's coordination falters, and he sways and stumbles repeatedly, the alcohol impairing his already compromised balance.
It takes immense patience and physical effort on Helia's part to guide him through the corridors, each step a test of endurance for both of them.
Finally, they reach the door to Toji's room, and a wave of relief washes over Helia. It has been a challenging journey, with Toji's drunken stumbling and the weight on her arm making the walk feel like an obstacle course.
She breathes a sigh of relief, knowing that the task is almost over, and she can leave him to his own devices once they're in the room.
As she opens the door, the room comes into view. It's dark and quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos of the party.
She enters the room, supporting Toji as he stumbles in after her, still relying heavily on her assistance to stay upright. The door shuts behind them with a soft click, sealing them both in the privacy of his quarters.
"There you are."
He looks around the room with dazed eyes, trying to regain his bearings. He sways on his feet, still needing her support to maintain his balance. He slurs his words, his voice thick with intoxication as he addresses Helia.
"Wow that was hard. I didn't think I'd make it without fallin' flat on my face."
Helia lets him go. "You should really shower. You smell very bad."
He stumbles a bit before regaining his balance. He looks at her with an uncomfortable expression, aware that he probably does smell due to the alcohol and the events of the night.
"Yeah, yeah, I get the hint. I'll hit the shower. Just gimme a minute."
He lets out a stifled hiccup, trying to steady himself against the nearest object he can reach, before making his way to the bathroom.
As Toji wobbles his way towards the bathroom, he nearly falls several times, his coordination severely impaired by the alcohol. She hesitates at the door, contemplating whether she should leave him to his own devices.
Despite her initial plan to leave him, concern floods her mind, and she realizes that she can't just leave him in this state without ensuring he'll be safe.
She can't believe she's doing this. "I'll stay until you finish to shower just to make sure you won't drown in your bath."
He stops in front of the bathroom door, leaning against the frame for support as he looks at her.
"Ya really don't trust me, huh? I can handle a shower on my own, ya know."
He tries to put on a confident front, but the hint of vulnerability in his voice betrays his true state. Despite his protest, deep down, he's somewhat relieved that she's staying.
"Yeah, yeah, of course. You can't even walk straight."
He lets out a reluctant chuckle, realizing that she has a point. The alcohol is clearly impairing his ability to move without wobbling, and he knows his coordination is very bad at the moment.
"Alright, alright, I get it. I'm not exactly the picture of grace right now, but I can handle a shower. Just gimme a bit of space, will ya? Make sure ya don't peek."
Helia scoffs. "I'm not going to shower with you I'll just stay in the room and wait to see if you come out alive and if you do then I'll leave."
He laughs heartily, amused by her response.
