Sunken (Cody Centric)

Ten long years they had been together, half of the relationship was in it while the other half was a liar as in a moment it all shattered with a certain announcement of:

"It is with my pleasure to announce the gift of a child created by King Kenobi and soon to be Queen, Duchess Satine. Please raise your glasses and...."

The announcement had brought cheers all over Coruscant's Kingdom, all citizens were happy especially since this would be the first infant born since the plague that killed most of the children within the Kingdom's of the Republic. Standing at the top of the stairs with bright smiles were the happy couple who were engaged to one another as soon as the announcement became a reality. One individual was not happy but remained impassive behind the helmet, he was known as the king's personal guard, personal knight who was the highest ranking commander in all of the Republic. His title Marshall Commander. His name was known to many as Cody Fett, one of the great sons of High King Jango Fett, who had released his son to the Coruscant Kingdom about twelve years ago at the age of 16. Then at 18, he became Prince Kenobi's personal guard and it went on from there. Now at 28, he remained in his position with an impassive expression. His mask remained firmly on, covering his whole face except his eyes and hairline, his brown hair was significant for the blond bits within it. Many always guessed what his real hair colour was but no one could work it out as he was a very private man. He was also the same man who was betrayed by his king as he stood at his position.

Nine Months Later...

"Commander Cody, please come say hi" the now Queen Satine whispered softly as she spotted her husband's commander walking into the room, his impassive expression always worried her. She watched him carefully lay his swords across his back and remove the blade he had on his inner wrist before he approached both her and the infant.

"My Queen, there is a scroll that you must read" Cody spoke in a formal manner especially since there were guests around. These included; Obi-wan who was the king, Anakin and Padme Skywalker who had their triplets running around, the two were next in line after the infant son of the King and Queen if anything happened to the family. Followed by Obi-wan and Anakin's little sister, Ahsoka who was about the age of ten, she was being raised by the family as she snuggled into Anakin's side. Anakin had his own personal knight who was ranked Captain but he was currently at sea. He was Cody's baby brother and the commander had vouched for him.

"Oh...can you hold Korkie, I will read this message" Satine barely said before she passed over her son to Cody who gently took the infant, he made sure he was situated before his eyes turned back to the Queen who smiled, "You are a natural" her words had him smirking slightly. Obi-wan watched on softly with a smile as he appeared beside them. Cody barely glanced at him which had the king wearing a slight hurt expression but that vanished as soon as the Queen gasped.

"My dear, what is it?" Obi-wan asked softly, Korkie fussed in Cody's arms leading to the knight to adjust him so his head was on his shoulder and he was patting his back. It amused both the king and queen who never said a word.

"It would seem my sister has gotten into a bit of a bother and asked for our help. We must make a trip to Mandalore in the next two weeks to try and keep the peace. The Pyke kingdom has been threatening Mandalore for the past few months and they acted on their threat. My sister lost many of her fleet and believes some are stranded in the..." Satine stopped speaking as she almost sobbed, her eyes flickered to Cody who tilted his head.

"Where? I sent the 501st to help in the fight...is Rex okay?" Anakin moved over to them wanting to know where his partner in crime, his personal knight is?

"My dear?" Obi-wan pushed his Queen to continue who nodded.

"According to the letter, the missing in action groups are stranded in the lava waters of Mortis. Only three ships went missing with the leaders known as, Commander Ponds, Captain Keeli and Captain Rex.....no word has come back from any of them..." Satine stopped herself as she heard Ahsoka sob into Padme's side, her favourite captain was more than likely dead.
