It's a Wednesday.
This week is so slow. It's dragging on and on and on...
It feels like the universe is torturing me for agreeing to go on a date.
Oh, God! Is this a sign? Is this why this week is so torturous?
The Evelyn-Anderson's incident? The quarrel with Mary?

A million thoughts ran through my mind and all of them were negative.
I shouldn't be dating... I should focus on my studies. But maybe he's actually a genuine guy who actually likes me. Or maybe he's only using me. OH GOD! My mom warned me about men all the time.
Also Mary didn't help the situation.

"Miss Salman" one of my students snapped me out of my thoughts.
I raised my head up to look at her.
" Are you okay? You seem a bit... Tense!"
Oh God, what kind of faces was I making at them. I should relax.

"Yeah I'm fine" I replied " Thanks for asking"

"Well.." Tina, My 13 year old student, started, "we finished our assignment.."

How long have I been zoned out? I hope I didn't make them worry. I hope I didn't look weird zoning out.
I looked at the class of 18 students. Some looked at me with an awkward smile. Some are looking curiously at me. Waiting for the next assignment.
I stood up from my desk, ready to go through the assignment together and write what they gathered on the board.

"Good job" I said as I picked the chalk "since you all did a good job, after we go through the assignments, we'll play some games"

The class erupted into loud cheers. Seeing their happy faces brings me joy. Friends talking to each other about what games we'll play. Some weren't happy about the idea of playing games.

"Now... Who wants to tell me what metaphors George Orwell used in this chapter?" I asked, looking at the class. Surprised to see everyone has their hands raised up.

Before I could pick any one of my eager students, an announcement was made through the speakers.

"TODAY'S CLASSES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE HEAT, ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR DAY" announced Ms. Andersons.

The class then again cheered again, as expected. I sighed with a small smile on my face and then put the chalk down on my desk. I looked at the class and clasped my hands together.
"Well it seems it's your lucky day today" I said to them as they looked at me excited to get out of their seats and just run for their lives. "Don't forget to pick up your phones from the principal's office... Also no homework"
The first students got up and lunged through the door. I giggled a bit at their excitement.
"Have a lovely day" I yelled.
"YOU TOO" They yelled back which made me laugh.

I made my way to the principals office after all the students left. The school was very quiet. Something that it never is.
I walked through the hall that had big windows. I looked outside the windows, admiring the only good thing in this ugly school. The garden. It was mostly only green plants and no flowers. But hey, at least some colour.
As I arrived to Ms. Andersons office. I knocked a three times and waited a bit.
I heard some noises on the other side of the door and thought she told me to come in.
Big mistake. As I entered I saw her sitting on top of her desk, her legs crossed but her dress was a few buttons open.
I gasped "Ms Andersons?" I then realised that she wasn't alone.
There was a man with messy, disheveled hair. He was wearing a suit but he was a mess. His dress shirt was almost all the way unbuttoned. His tie was undone.
When I looked at his face, he looked very familiar as if I've seen him before.
His brown hair and eyes looked very similar to someone's I know but can't quite remember.
before I could gasp again, someone behind me gasped really loudly and started crying hysterically.
I looked behind me and met the familiar face.
Evelyn.
This was Evelyn's dad.
"You sick bastard" Evelyn said in between sobs "You are cheating on mom with this ugly ogre"
She then made her way into the office and slapped Ms. Andersons. That's not all of course. This is Evelyn we are talking about. She has to make a show for sure.
She then grabbed one of the elephant ornaments that were on the desk the home-wrecker was sitting on and then started throwing it at her father.
She grabbed whatever was on the desk or anything around her and threw it at them.
They backed away into a corner like the cowards they are and tried to reason with her.
"Stop..." Her father started but then Evelyn threw a stapler at him "Stop.. that" he tried to shield himself with his hands.
"Why are you only blaming me?" He yelled at her "Your mom sees Greg everyday and probably sleeps with him as well"
His face was red. And not because of the red lipstick all over his face but because of how angry he is.
"Your mom only talks about how cute and adorable Greg is and how he always makes her day better when he is around."
He took a step forward which made my heart skip a beat. I looked around the room to see what I could grab if he decides to hurt Evelyn. There were Ms. Andersons red high heels. They looked sharp enough to hurt him.
Her father then grabbed Evelyn by her shoulders and started yelling in her face. "A man has urges Evelyn, so don't hold it against me. You didn't hold your mother accountable."
She slapped his hands from her shoulders, her face becoming red like she is gonna explode.
"Have you ever tried to ask my mother about Greg, Richard? Hm?" She addressed her father by his first name, losing all the respect she had for him. I can see the tears welling up in her eyes, but she held the tears back.
" Have you tried to take her on a date? Treat her nicely? Ask her about her day? Because all you have done is chase after other women. Ever since I was a child you were always absent in our lives but present in other women's lives." She stopped talking for a minute and started looking at the home-wrecker, she looked very disappointed and on the verge of a breakdown.
"But my biggest problem with you Richard..." she paused, looking at the ground and her hair covering her face. "Is that out of every woman in the world... You chased after my moms best friend."
I gasped, making Evelyn look at me. I think she forgot that I was here. I didn't actually mean to gasp, that sentence just caught me off guard.
After a moment of silence she grabbed his shoes and started hitting them with it.
She threw everything in her way and I was not gonna stop her anytime soon
After a while, Evelyn stopped throwing stuff.
"AND BY THE WAY, GREG IS MY MOMS COMPANY SUPPORT DOG" she yelled.
Honestly... I had to stop myself from bursting out of laughter.
"Where did you get that information of my mom seeing other men?" She inquired.
"Her phone.." her dad said in a low voice
"And you are spying on her?" she asked in shock.
And yet again she started throwing stuff at them.
I had enough of their drama and started making my way towards the phone drawer and took my phone from it.
Before I left, I looked at Evelyn one more time.
"Can I help you Evelyn in anyway?" I asked.
She looked at me over her shoulders and started searching the room. Her eyes landing on the floor, she started pointing at something.
I looked where she was pointing and it was at Andersons red high heels. I immediately understood her and gave them to her.
"Thank you!" She said. Flicking her head gesturing me to leave. She looked like a warrior with two weapons in each hand.
I closed the door behind and I could already hear the chaos emerging inside the room.

I hope that Evelyn will be okay.
