No Family
"No, you don't know how it feels! Your parents are dead! You have no family!" Ron yelled.
"Stop!" Hermione said desperately as Ron continued glaring at Harry who looked pained.
"On the contrary, Mr. Weasley."
Ron and Hermione jumped, whipping out their wands as Severus Snape walked into the tent and stepped up behind Harry.
"Snape!" Ron hissed.
Snape inclined his head.
"Harry, what are you doing?" Ron demanded. "It's Snape!"
"I know," Harry said, but made no move to pull his wand or attack their intruder. "He's been following us."
"What?" Ron said, shocked. "But it's Snape. He works for You-Know-Who! He killed Dumbledore! He wants you dead!"
"I don't think he wants me dead," Harry said thoughtfully. "Maybe grounded for life or chained in my room so I can never leave the house again, but not dead."
"I am seriously considering the chaining once this nonsense is over," Snape said and Harry chuckled.
"Harry?" Hermione said warily. "What's going on?"
Harry sighed and looked at his friends again. "I guess I have to tell you now. I've been keeping something from you for over two years."
Hermione and Ron frowned, never lowering their wands.
Harry took a deep breath. "Severus adopted me in fifth year."
