The Usual
"Good morning, Severus," Harry said with a wide smile from behind the counter.
"Harry," Severus said with a slight incline of his head and his own small smile. "My usual, if you would."
Harry reached to the left and slid a prepared to-go coffee cup and paper bag with a cinnamon walnut scone to the open counter between him and Severus. He looked at Severus with an even larger grin as the man just rolled his eyes. Harry laughed, taking the galleons and sickles Severus handed him.
"Enjoy your potions," Harry said. "Got that huge order for the Ministry, right?"
Severus took a sip of his coffee and hummed, both in appreciation of the drink and in agreement with Harry's observation. "I do. You remembered."
"Of course I remembered," Harry said, his large smile settling into a gentler one. "See you at lunch?"
"I am unsure I will be able to take a break today," Severus said.
"Even if I have your favourite sandwich waiting?" Harry said in a teasing tone.
Severus heaved an exaggerated sigh. "I suppose I could be dragged away if you are so desperate for company."
Harry laughed. "Always desperate for your company, Severus."
"Lunch then," Severus said and turned to leave the coffee shop.
Harry smiled and gave a little wave to his friend as the man gave him a nod before stepping out, leaving behind the tiny ringing bell above the door.
