"Kid grew up without a father, and a strict mother..." Bash sits there hearing his father speak as he eyes him and remains quiet as his father continues "he was like your brother i can understand if you feel that rage and want something, something terrible maybe."

Bash looks up and feels his father's hand tap his leg "but don't let that be what drives you son your one of the good ones."

Bash sits back and his father motions to the door "say goodbye and don't sit in revenge too long that man who did this isn't worth your life. The Carmello's have people for that."

"Say goodbye to your best friend. You can't hide in this car all day."

Bash opens the door, steps out and walks slowly down the long path. He stops next to Nyxx dressed in all black and they both stand there quietly. She doesn't speak and neither does Bash as they both look at the gravestone. She sighs "we were planning to have more kids..." She remains quiet again and Bash turns his head as she asks him "who killed my husband?"

"Nyxx..."

"Don't call me that use my real name."

"Tess..."

"Don't just tell me his name."

"He calls himself captain shade..."

"That loser? The former cop?"

"No, he never was a cop."

"You're telling me that double holster idiot killed my husband? He killed a Carmello?"

"Tess, go home to your daughter and relax. Your husband was my best friend, and his father was a Carmello. let the family handle it and you relax."

"Really did your daddy tell you that Bash? Don't tell me you don't want to rip his throat out too? Albert was not one of the bad ones, sure he robbed a bank or two, but he was one of the good ones. He didn't deserve a death like this..."

She quiets down and bash eyes his best friend's name in the stone as he breathes out "His real name is in this stone, do you see it Tess?"

"I do." She eyes her husband's real name and Bash motions to it.

"And you see that last name?"

"I do..." She says and bash nods to her "then don't worry Captain Shade won't survive the week."

Captain Shade is kicked hard in the stomach and falls back into a wall as a man dressed in all black nods to him smiling "time to play kid."

He tries to get up but feels the pain in his still damaged leg; he dodges a punch but gets punched anyway and falls to the floor. The man laughs looking down "you know i knew albert well. Do you think his daughter is happy? His wife is happy? Or you didn't think of anyone else?" The man begins kicking Captain Shade but stops hearing a loud sound and the man kicking him stops and falls to the ground. Hit girl walks forward, turns her head and Captain Shadow looks up smiling "hit girl..."

"Marshal Shade..."

"Actually, it's captain shade." He gets to his feet, but Hit Girl does a spin kick and knocks him into a wall as she whispers, "that was for Albert." He takes a breath in, and she waves him forward "back to your feet and move. you're wanted by a lot of people."

"So why help me? Your sidekick boyfriend won't be happy."

"It's husband now and don't ever refer to him as a sidekick."

"Husband?" Captain Shade stops and looks around "you married that guy?"

Hit girl motions out "just keep out of sight and lose the captain shade stuff. The Carmello's will tear you apart and Bash isn't nice enough to stop them."

"My gun went off by mistake Mindy."

"Don't use my name, just disappear for a while. Maybe a different city."

"I grew up in this city. When you moved here, I showed you around Mindy. We planned good things together and you chose his side, you betrayed a lot of people."

"So did he." She corrects him and eyes him over "just stay out of people's way Captain Shade it hasn't done anything good for anyone. Accident or not Albert isn't coming back..."

She nods to him and walks off leaving him alone as he stares after her angry.

Ash stares at the hit girl outfit and hears a door slam as he asks, "where have you been?"

"Saving a life." She admits and he replies sounding upset.

"His life?" He asks, sounding upset and she admits "his gun went off by accident; he doesn't deserve to be hunted down."

"Did he seem sorry at all? He made someone fatherless..." He stares at the hit girl outfit and turns his head as she asks her husband "this isn't your fault you know that right?"

"I feel like I'm being chased and suffocated by bad luck. I lost some of my eyesight, my hand and my best friend all in a few months..."

He turns his head and Mindy eyes her husband with his eyes still covered as he asks her "you said being good was easier so when does it start Mindy?"

She walks up to her husband and stands next to him staring at her old outfit as she asks, "do you want to retire?"

Bash remains quiet and Mindy asks again "I said do you want to retire?"

She stands there and her husband doesn't answer her, but she reads him and nods "I can tell your answer already, why not just relax."

"Because I keep having to dig you out of dangerous shit and it always ends up costing me something."

"Welcome to marriage." Mindy says and her husband glances up smiling as he admits "Captain Shade will probably end up dead..."

"Just promise it won't be you."

"No, I know the gun went off by mistake, but I still blame him. Albert had his whole life and he got killed by an accidental gunshot."

"Just promise me you won't go back to how you used to be?" Hit girl asks and he nods to her promising "I am not about to run off and try to kill him."

"If you're given the chance, would you?"

"I already had my chance, and I did not kill him."

Hit girl sits next to her husband and stares forward "just promise you will focus on what's important right now?"

"Don't worry, I know what's important."
