I've Lost You Once

Chapter 14

Lizzy gained her consciousness and she saw unfamiliar room, she slowly roamed her eyes then, she realized that she's in hospital room.

She move her hand then Maddison saw it, so she immediately stood up and look at Lizzy if she's awake already. "Anak" her tears started to roll down as she saw Lizzy awake.

Lizzy slept 2 days and the doctor saved both her and the baby. They can't believed it but what happened is a good thing.

"Mom?" She said weakly. Maddison push the red button to notify the nurses that she's already awake. "May masakit ba sayo anak?" She asked, as she held Lizzy's hand.

She shake her head as a response to her mother. The nurses including the doctors came in her room in no time and check her.

"Doctora Chavez, we're glad that you're already awake and your vitals are good also" the doctor said smiling. Lizzy just nodded then placed her hands in her belly.

"Hows my baby?" She asked. Not wanting to hear the response. "The baby is fine as you do. I suggest that after you discharged take a maternity leave so that you and the baby will be healthy" The doctors response and that gave her relief.

They just have some chitchats and afterwards they bid their goodbyes because they also have to check the other patients.

"How are you feeling, anak? Nagugutom kaba?" Maddison asked her when they left alone. "I'm starving mom" she response. "Okay wait, what do you want to eat?" She asked.

"Roderick's buttered shrimp" she whispered, but Maddison heard it. "Anak" she sat beside her while cutting some fruits for her. "Hindi ko mabibigay yan, wala nabang iba?"

Lizzy shake her head. "Anything nalang mom, I just want to eat" she said weakly. Then the door opened and it reveals Kenneth.

"Ohh mommy gising kana" she steps inside with the foods he bougth. He blessed to Maddison before going to Lizzy.

Lizzy rolled her eyes. "Stop calling me Mommy, nakakadiri" she said, Kenneth held her hand. "Kenneth huwag mo munang stressin ang anak ko" Maddison said.

He nodded. "How are you?" He asked, but he got no response. "You want to eat? Are you hungry?" He asked again, but still no response. Then her tummy grawl.

He giggled and stood up. "Buti nalang dinagdagan ko yung binili ko" he prepare the foods he bought. "Tita kakain ka nadin po ba?" He asked.

"Mamaya nako kakain" then she put the fruits she just sliced beside Lizzy. "Cge po, pakainin ko napp si Lizzy" he went back to Lizzy's side with the soup and buttered shrimp w/rice.

Maddison saw the dish and lookex at Lizzy. "Masarap bayan?" She asked coldly. Maddison went near them. "Ah Kenneth ako na magpapakain sakanya" she get the plate.

So Kenneth stood up and went to other side of the bed. "I'm going to eat, dun ka sa sofa" she hissed. So he obeyed.

"It's not Roderick's buttered shrimp but please eat this" Maddison told her. She just nodded. "Ako na Mmy, kaya ko naman" she said then sat slowly.

Her mom gave her the plate then, she started to eat. "Dahan dahan anak baka mabulunan ka"

"It's not good as Roderick's cook" she whispered. "Be thankful Lizzy" she warned her.

After she ate, Maddison gets the plate and wash it immediately. "Anak, uuwi pala muna ako maya maya, so si Kenneth muna ang magbabantay sayo" she said while arranging her things.

She just nodded even though her mom can't see her response.

After Maddison left, she remained seated while rubbing her tummy. "You're so brave anak, sorry if Moomy didn't think about your health" she talked to her child inside her belly.
