3rd person's POV—

Kai was angry because of that stupid old mad, and just wanted her sister back. He didn't want more. When the man –– whose name is Wu sensei –– told Kai, that he should be a ninja to protect her sister, he said he will, BUT! Just because of his little sister. "If i get her back, I'll be a blacksmith again, okay?"

The man chuckled. "If you say so, i know you'll change your mind, young man." And they walked to the monastery.

Im not going to write the pilot again, but I'll add some detail. When Cole firts saw Kai, his heart skipped a beat, and when he heard that he will be part of the team, he was excited. When Cole pulled his mask off, Kai blushed a little and thought that this 'Cole' is kinda attractive by the way...

Kai never wanted to admit that he is into woman and man either. But he ignored his feelings towards the black ninja, cause he thought that he just imagined them. From the other side, Cole was deeply in love with him. He never understood why. Kai was annoying, loud, sometimes selfish, but he had a soft side for Nya.

Cole realised that the brunette always puts others before himself. Since they found out Lloyd is the green ninja, Kai always comforts the little kid. Their realationship is like two brothers. And Nya is with them too. So this is like Kai is Nya's and Lloyd's big brother.

When the Overlord showed up and the ninjas stucked on that island, Kai started to felt something to the earth ninja. A bond that got stronger and stronger. Kai understood that he is in love, but how will he tell him? What would Cole think? He doesnt wanna risk it. I mean he won't tell yet. Its too early. Kai always comforted his friend, and he were always there for him. Always.

The Overlord returned. How suprising. And right. The love triangle. Kai felt jealous that his sister gets the man, who he dreamed about always. He was a bit mad, but he didn't show it. And for Cole. He was not in love with Nya. No. He was gay. How could he? He just wanted to win against Jay. He didn't thought this can cause a fight. He blamed himself because he got Jay hate him. Cole didn't know what to do.

Jay knew that Cole was in love with Kai but he thought that he stopped simping for him. He thought Cole wanted Nya. But after the tournament of elements, Cole told him everything. Plus when Kai met with Skylor, he felt something but he didn't know what is it. It wasn't love tho. But he couldn't speak normal when he was around her. All the ninja thought that Kai is in love with Skylor but Kai wasn't.

However Kai told everyone he likes her, but just because he wanted to make Cole jealous. Skylor seemed to notice that Kai is doing something and went to talk to him. "Kai, we need to talk." The brunette just sat one of the table in the restaurant, and looked akwardly confused.

"About what?" The girl shaked her head. "Why are you lying? Why are you telling everyone that you like me, because you crearly not." Kai felt embrassed. "Umm, i wanna.... Well.... I-i dont know how to tell you this but...." Skylor raised one of her eyebrow. "Tell me what?"

Kai took a deep breath. 'Now or never' he thought. "Well... i like someone and-" Skylor grinned. "Do you wanna make them jealous?" Kai's face flushed red. "Um, well yea, sort of..." He placed his face to face the table. "Who is it? Is it a boy?" Skylor smirked and Kai felt more embrassed. "Y-yes. Oh damn. Im so ridiculous, aren't I?" He put a more akward smile on his face.

Skylor just shaked her head and smiled. "You dont need to make him jealous, or if he thinks that you and me would be a couple, he would give up his feelings towards you, y'know?" Kai quickly snapped his head up, and you could see in his eyes that he was terrified and shocked. "Omg Skylor. You're so fucking damn right. Im so pathetic. Agghh!" He started to banging his head on the table while wailing.
