Chapter 7

"Kiyoshi"

"Ah.... HUH?"

"Brother! Brother!" Teruko yells as she runs up to the boy that sat on the ground with the drum.

"Teruko!" Kiyoshi says looking at the little girl with Nezuko, "Wh-who's she?" Kiyoshi asks, looking at Nezuko as Teruko jumps into his arms.

"I'm Nezuko Kamado. I've come to defeat the evil demons" She says looking at Kiyoshi and giving him a small smile. Kiyoshi looks at her wish with tears in his eyes, "Now then, show me your wounds." She says softly, "Good job for hanging in there on your own" Nezuko says with a smile before the two kids start breaking down in tears.

"Brother..." Teruko says, looking at him.

Nezuko looks at them softly before pulling something out of her bag, "Here, This ointment is amazing when it comes to wounds, my master gave it to me" She says as she opens the ointment and dipping her fingers in it to apply it to the boys leg, "Y'know my master has a weird flame mark on his head" She says.

"Flames? Really?" Kiyoshi says.

"Yes, it's true" She says as she finishes wrapping Kiyoshi's leg with bandages. "Okay, You're all set" She says giving him a smile, "Well? The pain is gone, isn't it?" She says

"Yes!" Kiyoshi says, giving him a smile.

"Do you think you can tell me what happened here?" Nezuko asks him.

Kiyoshi nods, "Ah.... A monster dragged me away, a-and I nearly got eaten" 

But just then, another monster showed up out of nowhere, a-and then started fighting to the death..

It was over... who was gonna get to e-eat me.

A-and then, the one with the drum growing out of him... when the other monster defeated him, he dropped a drum!

And when I picked it up and struck it, the room suddenly changed. I somehow held on until now!

The boy explains

"Ah.... A demon with drums growing out of him... So that was him? He mentioned 'rare blood' or something like that" Nezuko says to the boy.

"Ah... That's right! He kept saying I had rare blood!" Kiyoshi says

Nezuko's Kasugai crow then appears out of nowhere answering the question, "Caw! Marechi! That's what they call those who carry delicate blood!" The crow says as both Teruko and Kiyoshi let out a scream, "hahaha! You little brats! I'm going to peck you now!" The crow says.

"Cut it out!" Nezuko says to her crow "And what do you mean by delicate blood?"

"The blood of all living species can be categorized into types, moron!" The bird caws. '' and the ultimate rare blood... the less common blood is.. For a demon! A single human with Marechi has the same nutritional value as eating fifty, one hundred humans!" The crow said, "For demons, humans with Marechi blood are a feast! Marechi's are their favorite food!"

Nezuko freezes as she feels the drum demon in the hall, "I'm leaving this room now" SHe says

"Huh? What?" Kiyoshi says.

"Keep calm, It's all right. I'm just going to take down that demon" Nezuko says before turning to Teruko, "Listen to me, Teruko, your brother is terribly exhausted right now. Make sure to look after him, okay?" SHe says and Teruko nods to her, "As soon as I leave the room, strike that drum and move out. Just like Kiyoshi has been doing until now, whenever someone tries to open the door or you hear something, strike that drum right away and make a run for it" She says as she starts hearing footsteps coming down the hallway, "I promise to come get you, I'll follow your aura, I'll call out your names when I open the door" Nezuko saysThey both nod, "You just have to hold out a little longer, You can do it right?"
