Third Person POV
It had been a while since Sid had came out of his room.
It wasn't too uncommon for him to stay in his room for long periods of time, but what he was doing inside his bedroom was unknown. Many of the band members just ignored it and dismissed it as the DJ just doing his own thing. They never questioned what their bandmate could be doing inside.
Except for Shawn, whose curiosity one day got the better of him, his eyes lingering on the closed door that led to the other man's room.
Shawn had heard the usual rumors that would fly around of Sid in his room, the usual that he was doing drugs, or passed out from an overdose. Shawn didn't believe these rumors but the other guys in the band sure did, which was pretty much why no one else had checked on him either.
But he still decided to go check on him. It was just a little check up to see if he was okay.
He sighed as he walked over to Sid's room, his hand gripping the doorknob slightly. He took a deep breath before he knocked on the door gently.
"Kid, I'm coming in," he called out as he slowly opened the door.
"W-Wait, n-no—!" Sid stammered out from inside his bedroom, his voice shaky.
The sound of things being knocked over in surprise being heard inside, followed by hurried footfalls, and the door being slammed shut again.
It seemed like Sid didn't want anyone to enter his room.
Shawn was shocked by the response of the younger man. It kind of sounded like he was hiding something inside the room, something he didn't want anyone to see.
He tried to open the door again but the force of the door being slammed shut by Sid made it hard to open.
He put an arm on the door and leaned on it, his curiosity only growing at the man's strange behavior.
"Kid, what the hell are you hiding in there?" He called out, knocking on the door again.
"N-Nothing...!" Sid shouted from inside, seemingly trying to get his bandmate to drop the topic, though the slight stutter in his voice made it painfully obvious that he was indeed trying to keep something from the other man.
If anything, Sid's stuttering and nervous tone only made Shawn even more curious, which made him even more suspicious of whatever was going on inside the room. He continued to press his arm on the door.
"Really? It sure doesn't sound like nothing," he said in a low tone, sounding a little bit annoyed.
"Either tell me what's going on, or I swear to god that I'm getting the crowbar and busting the damn door open."
Silence.
Then, Sid finally spoke again, though clearly hesitant.
"... fine," he nervously mumbled.
The sound of the door slowly being unlocked was heard, before it was swung open a little. It was only slightly ajar, not quite enough for the percussionist to fully see the inside of his bedroom, but enough for the other man to open it himself, if desired.
Shawn's eyes narrowed a little as he saw how the door only slightly opened, clearly showing that Sid didn't want to fully open it.
He could pretty much tell now that whatever Sid was hiding in the room was something that the younger man didn't want anyone to see. This made his suspicions only grow even more, which made him want to investigate.
