*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

That freaking alarm I swear to Poseidon's I'm gonna smash it! I roll over to turn it off (throw it out the window) and OH SCHIST ITS 11AM ALREADY?! I sprint out of my bed, to the bathrooms and shower quickly before speeding out the door to meet Grover downtown to finish planning for tonight. 

Oh. I should probably tell you, I'm proposing to Annabeth tonight. 

I HAVE NO TIME I'M SO LATE ALREADY! I practically sprint into the cafe I'm meeting Grover in, who gave me a concerned look. 'Perrrcy, you have at least 8 hours until the fireworks, chill' he said, handing me a smoothie, blueberry of course.

'I know G-Man, I'm just nervous, what if she says no? Or if she breaks up with me? Or if she does both of those and-' but Grover cut me off. 'Calm down, god's of Olympus she's gonna say yes'. He said, staring at me. I nodded before we continued going over the plans before I went home again. My phone kept buzzing with texts which was driving me insane so I checked it.

I fling my phone across the room, checking in my drawer to get out the ring for Annabeth. Thank the gods it was there. I stuffed it into my backpack for later before putting on a camp shirt and shorts. I grabbed some water and headed out the door to go to camp.

This can't be any worse. It's nearly 4pm and I'm stuck in traffic on the road to Long Island and it looks like I could be here for at least another hour. I have to be at camp by 5:30pm to help setting up the beach for the fireworks display tonight as it's the annual 4th of July celebration. The Hephaestus cabin are going to be pissed with me.

I finally get to camp with around 10 minutes to spare before I gotta go help, so I decided to go find Wise Girl. As I was walking towards the main cabin area, I bump into Thalia, who's visiting for tonight. 'Hey Kelp Head, you set for later?' she asked. 'I'm stressed, what if she says no or I do something stupid?' I exclaimed, running my hands through my hair, which was messy as usual. Thalia gave me a look, telling me it's gonna be fine and blah blah blah. I thanked her and knocked on Cabin 6's door. 

A flash of blonde curls, passed in the window and a second later Annabeth opened the door, looking amazing as always, her grey eyes squinting in the beaming sunshine. Dam I'm lucky to have her.

'Seaweed brain! Where were you?' She asked hugging me. 'Traffic, Wise Girl, it was really bad' I reply, kissing the top of her head. 'Well I'm glad you're here now, Jason was getting all anxious about you being late for some reason' she said frowning, clearly wondering what was happening. 'Oh really, I better go check if he's okay' I lied. Shit she knows somethings gonna happen. I jogged down to the beach, and hurried over to Jason. 

'Finally bro, thought you were never gone come!' He exclaimed, Yeah,yeah sorry bro, but can you like stop stressing in front of Annabeth? She knows somethings up' I told him. He nodded and we got to work setting up the remaining fireworks. They were gonna be extra special, as when I propose ones gonna fly up spelling "Will you marry me?" in the air. Dam I'm getting excited again.

Okay everything's set up now it's just time to get ready, so I headed to Cabin 3. I put on a white shirt that my mom bought me at Christmas and a pair of jeans before making sure I put the ring in my back pocket. I got a text from Jason:

(Jason) bro u ready yet? 

(me) yeah heading out now

(Jason) finally cyu there bro

I hurried down to the beach meeting Annabeth on the way. 'Woah Wise Girl, you look incredible!' I tell her, giving her a light kiss. She had a stunning blue dress with flowers on and her hair in its natural curls, her camp necklace hanging around her neck. 

She blushed, telling me I look great too as we continued walking. We got some food before meeting our friends. 

'Hey guys!' Piper said hugging us both. 'You guys excited for the fireworks?' Leo asked, winking at me. 'Yep, they're going to be great!' Annabeth exclaimed. 

Half an hour later and it was time. 'Hey wanna go down to the shore? There's a better view!' I asked Annabeth. She nodded and we walked down as the fireworks began, reflecting off the waves in huge streaks of blue and red. I took a deep breath and twirled her around. When she had her back facing me, I got on one knee, so when she faced me again, she was shocked. A hand flew to her mouth as she gasped. I smiled at her before the "Marry Me?" firework flew into the air. 

'Wise Girl, I have loved you since we were 12 and on our first quest, and you have become my best friend and Holy Poseidon, you make me so, so incredibly happy, and I know for a fact I want to spend every second of my life with you. I love you so much Wise Girl, you are incredible and I can't thank you enough for everything, so Annabeth Chase, will you marry me?' I asked, holding up the ring.

She blinked away a tear and nodded. 'Yes, yes of course I'll marry you Seaweed Brain!'She exclaimed, and I slid the ring on her finger, and she jumped into my arms as we kissed, fireworks shooting into the air again. 'I love you so, so much' she murmured into my ear as I set her down onto the sand, before we were bombarded with cheers and laughing from our friends, who were running down to us. Jason high fives me while Leo jumped on my back while the girls surrounded Annabeth for a glimpse of her ring. 

At the end of the night we had moved up to the lake, when Clarisse cried out 'THROW THEM IN!' and before we knew it, we were flung into the lake, where I once again blew an air bubble for us and we shared another incredible underwater kiss
