Encountering Midas

During her freshman year at USC, Tori Vega got invited to meet with Sean "King" Midas who was in charge of King Midas Records which was one of the biggest record labels if not the biggest. It seemed like most of the records they produce have turned into gold if not platinum hence why people called Sean Meyer King Midas, and he legally changed his last name from Meyer to Midas. It started when he was a writer, producer, and musician, and performed at times though his best work came from behind the mic. He bought a record label and turned it into one of the best. That's what Tori hoped for when she entered Midas' office after things didn't work out with Mason Thronesmith and his record label.

She was nervous as she entered his office which was huge and had a bunch of Gold and Platinum records hanging up. Midas said, "Come on in, Tori. Have a seat," as he shook her hands and said, "Thank You for coming in," Tori sat down and said, "Thank You for taking the time to meet with me," Midas said, "I'll go straight to the point. I've heard your demos and seen your performances on theSlap.com and of course the Platinum Music Awards a few years ago and you're a very talented singer I want to sign you to a contract," 

Tori said, "Great, when do I get the contract for my agent to look at?" Midas said, "Not quite yet, do you have plans for tomorrow night?" Tori said, "Nope," Midas said, "Good because I'm throwing a party tomorrow night and I would love for you to come and I will make sure you will sing for the rest of the guests," as he reach into in desk, pulled out an invitation, and gave it to Tori and added, "And feel free to bring a guest. I'll see you in the party," Tori said, "Great, see you there," as she left his office. 

Tori later went to Andre's Dorm Room in USC to tell him the news person as she knocked on the door. Andre answered the door, hugged her, and said,"Hey Tori, what's up?" and she showed him the paper invitation while smiling. Andre looked at the invitation knowing about Midas' parties being a big deal and told Tori said, "Are you serious?" Tori said, "Very serious," Tori said, "I'm very serious," then they hugged each other realizing their going to the biggest party.

The next night, Andre and Tori showed up at Midas' place and it was a who's who of celebrities in the party. The pair enjoyed the party for an hour or so until Midas shown up and met Tori and Andre. Tori said, "Hi Mr. Midas, this is Andre Harris. He's a talented singer, musician, writer, and producer," as Midas and Andre shook hands. Midas said, "Man, you must be a jack of all trades," Andre said, "I try to be," Midas said, "I hope you're a better singer than I was. I am good at the other stuff," Andre said, "and you're the best record label owner of all time," Midas said, "Thank You, Andre. Also, can I borrow Tori for a second," Tori said, "You can borrow me,"

Tori and Midas went upstairs to one of the bedrooms in the house.  Once there, Tori looked around the room Midas locked the door. Midas said, "You look beautiful in your silver dress," Tori said, "Thanks King, I thought about wearing a gold dress but it was short notice and," Midas said, "That's OK maybe next time," as he was going for a kiss however, Tori stepped away from the kiss and asked, "What are you doing?" 

Midas said, "I was hoping to get to know each other better," Tori said, "Can't we just talk, not to mention aren't you married with kids," Midas said, "We separate, Don't you want to be a star?" Tori said, "I do but not this way," Midas said, "I sleep with most of my artists so you either do this or you won't get a contract. You scratch my back, I scratch yours," Tori slapped him, went to the door, opened it, and said, "I will never sleep with you," and left. 

She went over to Andre and said, "Let's go," Andre said, "GO? WHY? The party is just getting started," Tori said, "It's over for us, let's go," and despite him being upset leaving early, Andre followed Tori to the exit. As they were leaving Andre said, "Can you at least explain why we're leaving early?" Tori said, "I will, as soon as we leave this fucking place,"   

They drove from the King's Midas' mansion to USC where Andre parked his car and said, "Why? What Happened?" Tori said, "He wanted to sleep with me," Andre was upset when he heard the news and hugged Tori and said, "I'm sorry that happened to you," Andre said, "Thanks Andre," Tori was about to exit the car when Andre said, "Want me to walk you to our dorm room?" Tori said, "Yes, please," Andre walked Tori to her dorm room. 

A week later, it looked like she was getting another chance by having a meeting at Sean Quincy's label, however, about an hour before the meeting was supposed to happen it was canceled and she got a call from her agent that the none to the record labels would talk with her because Midas spread rumors that Tori was the who tried to kiss Midas and tried to seduce him to get a record deal. It went to TMZ and that's when Tori sued Midas and TMZ and that he was the one tired to kiss her and offered a record contract if she slept with him. She ended up settling with both Midas and TMZ. She settled with Midas after his lawyer threatened to screw over her family if she didn't accept the settlement and that Andre and Cat would testify against her if the case went to court. 

Knowing that her singing career was over, Tori tried for an acting career but sadly thanks to Midas and Dale Squires it didn't pan out. In one audition, the casting directors just told her to go home. As she was leaving, she ran into Ryder Daniels auditing for the same movie. He said, "It doesn't feel good to be embarrassed huh bitch?" Tori just walked away. 

To make matters worse, Tori was dropped by her agency and her manager and Andre and Cat ended up signing contracts with King Midas. When she found out about this she refused to talk with anyone from the Group no matter how much they tried to reach out.
