hopping off of her couch, hayeon ran to her door the minute she heard it ring. she had been waiting to see sunghoon face to face ever since his incredibly ominous text messages.

she couldn't help but let her mind wander while she had waited, the girl honestly had no clue what he was about to tell her. all she knew is he sounded kind of serious, and that scared her.

"hoon!" hayeon beamed, greeting him with a hug.

"hi," he smiled softly, "i missed you."

"it's only been like 4 days," hayeon teased him, although waiting to see him had been just as excruciating for her.

shrugging in response, sunghoon set down the bag he was holding and opened it up, grabbing something inside that hayeon couldn't quite see.

"tada!" he said, opening his hands to reveal a slightly squished kuromi stuffed animal.

"no way," hayeon gasped in excitement, "you remembered?"

"of course i remembered," the boy nodded, "you gave me a whole class on the sanrio world when i told you i didn't know who chococat was."

hayeon could still picture the look on sunghoon's face when she sat him down in the middle of them eating and started teaching him random characters, he had no idea what he was in for. but still, he sat and listened patiently and she explained one of her favorite childhood franchises to him.

he truly was such a good listener, sometimes hayeon thought sunghoon was secretly an angel sent down to earth. there was no way he could be real.

"is it for me?" she asked, eyes wide in awe.

"well i definitely didn't buy it for myself," sunghoon chuckled, handing the girl the plushie he had gone two hours out of his way to get for her.

bouncing up and down in excitement, hayeon said a million thank yous to sunghoon, happier than ever. she loved stuffed animals so much, and he knew that. she had over 20 different ones just underneath her bed.

the two finally went to sit down on her couch, a familiar memory echoing in the back of both of their heads. they could both feel the mood between them change as they sat down.

sunghoon wondered if she thought about that day as much as he did, or if she really had moved on with junseo and couldn't care less.

"so what did you want to tell me that you couldn't tell me over the phone?" hayeon asked, eager to hear what was so important it had to be said in person.

taking a deep breath, sunghoon mentally prepared himself for rejection as he tried to start the speech he had planned out so many times in his head.

"god, i don't even know how to start this," he laughed nervously, his mind going blank the minute he opened his mouth. so much for his plan.

"you can tell me anything," hayeon replied, slightly concerned about sunghoon from the worried look on his face. "what's going on?"

"ok, so you know that day when i got back from japan and came here?" he asked, receiving a nod from hayeon.

she didn't know why he was bringing that day up again, but hayeon's anxiety intensified at the mention of it.

"and you know how you asked me if i was going to kiss you?" sunghoon continued, waiting for another nod in response from the girl in front of him.

"why are you bringing this up again?" hayeon sighed, "i know how you feel about that hoon, obviously i had the wrong idea. can we just let it go?"

his eyes widening, sunghoon interrupted her in a panic. "just let me finish okay?"
