The car parked in a spot safe from the scorching sun, Zoya stepped out of the vehicle while holding onto the little baby in her arms.

"Uh, khakha? It might take around one hour, more or less, so you can just wait here. I will call you once done, then you come back," wearing the straps of the baby carrier while trying to calm a hyper kid, she instructed their driver.

"But memsaab, Adi sahab told me not to leave you alone. Moreover, you might struggle with Baby, you will need someone to hold your bags," he asked as he was seeing the way the tiny creature was already playing with her mother's nuptial chain.

To which she chuckled and answered back, "Handling her is now something I am used to, khakha. I don't want to make you roam around just to hold our bags, though. I will manage them and, in case I really need it, I will call you. Until then, why don't you rest a little, at least?" she noticed his hesitation and smiled softly. "You don't have to worry about Aditya, I will not tell him nor will he say anything to you. I will take care of him."

Reluctantly though, he agreed and she smiled as if in reassurance before turning to her monster baby. "Chale?"

Tightening the safe locks with Diya comfortably seated, happy to be hanging around with her mumma while feeling all better for two days, Zoya walked in the shopping mall looking for their first stop.

"First, let's get our little doll's things plus a recovery gift, then we will go and look for something for papa. Okie dokie, partner?" she cooed at her babygirl as she was welcomed with a bright smile in response, to which she pecked her grin.

They got to the supermarket and filled the trolley with the basic necessities for the baby, the latter recognizing each of her possessions as she tried to take them from her mother.

"Okay, so far we got the formula, mashed-food bottles, your favourite compotes and yoghurts, diapers. Then we have some fruit, vegetables, and a good stock of other things for everyone. Wait, papa and chachu asked for a biryani night the day after tomorrow, didn't they? We shall get the needed ingredients but chicken now itself," she enumerated the grocery shopping list to nobody, although the baby answered as if agreeing to her mother's talks. "Any other ideas in mind, baby?"

Hearing the quick call for her attention, she looked up before turning her head towards the shelves back in the food department. She randomly started pointing to the different sauces she fell on before rubbing her palms against each other.

"Oh, of course the wet tissues—how did I forget that?" she shook her head at herself missing things from the list as she was copied by the kid. "My clever girl, you are," she loudly pecked on the crown of her little head.

They soon paid and walked out of the shop, Diya now busy playing with her new toy as Zoya walked the trolley containing the heavy bags out, checking the purchases and the invoice for anything left out. The toddler grinned at the little plush horse and shook it hard while holding onto one leg, talking on her own as the young mother didn't give her attention.

"Sometimes, I wish you grew faster, baby. You are too high maintenance," she mumbled to herself before letting a chuckle out.

At the strength of her moves, the new plush toy got out of her tight hold and fell to the ground, "Ya Allah, no Diya!" or so they thought.

The babygirl didn't get the chance to realise what she did when the little horse got caught in someone's hold. She intently stared at the unknown person down to the floor as he looked back, sharing a sweet smile before getting back on his feet.
