CHAPTER - 6

Avinash's pov

All pair of eyes turned to us when me and Anisha descended the stairs.

" So what you both decided? You are getting married right? " mom asked hoping for a positive answer.

All of their eyes reflected a curious look yet a ping of fear of our denial .

Taking a deep breath and mentally preparing myself for what I am going to say finally the words escaped my mouth.

" We are ready for marrige "

A happy environment enveloped the house and happy faces reflected in my pupils. Only if they knew the reality behind this marrige . I chuckled at my current situation. Me and Anisha touched the feet of elders and the younger ones hugged us. When we reached near Dadu to touch his feet he also blesses us with teary eyes.

" Thanks beta for considering my wish " He said and I shook my head holding his hands.

" No need dadu just need your blessings "
I replied.

" Of course child my blessings are always with you both " He patted both of our heads.

Suddenly I heard a familiar voice and turning my head towards the direction I found a girl standing there.

" Khanak?? " Anisha exclaimed with happiness in her voice.

Yes it's Khanak Negi. Anisha's best friend. They both used to stick with each other in the college time.

" Haa mai kamini Delhi aayi 5 saal baad fir bhi ye nhi bata de mujhe par sahi hai mujhe kyu hi batayegi mai hu hi kaun teri? "

Yes me bastard. You came to delhi after 5 years but didn't think to inform me once. But it's ok why would you inform me? Who am I to you?

" Are aisi baat nhi hai khanku bas mai aaj hi aayi thi " Anisha defended herself while walking towards her to capture her in her arms.

It's not like that Khanak I just came today.

" Chal hatt be hawa aane de " Khanak declined her hug and walked to Anisha's family greeting them she also greeted me and my family but with a confused look.

" Umm.. Anisha what's going on here? " She asked.

Khanak very well knows about our relationship and must be aware of our break up too. Just hope she doesn't spill the tea.

" Are beta tumhaari dost shaadi krne vali hai. Isne bataya nhi tumhe? " Anisha's mom answered.

" Shaadi??? Isne mujhe nhi bataya. Tu toh mil mujhe akele me Anu ki bachhi pr mere jiju hai kaun? "

Marrige??? She didn't tell me . Meet me later you Anu but who is my brother in law?

" Is this even a question Khanak? Of course it's Avinash " Anuj shrugged and shock was clearly visible on her face .

" What? Avinash? But they both bre--"

" Yes we were not ready but we are now ready Khanak " Anisha covered up squeezing Khanak's hand which didn't go unnoticed by me.

" Oh!! That's nice. I am happy for you " Khanak replied with a fake smile.

" Let's have dinner then and I have called pandit ji ( priest) he will come in an hour and we can fix the date of engagement today only " Anisha's father suggested and all nodded.
