CHAPTER 19

Luka's POV

I woke up when a ray of sunlight hit my face. Slowly, I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was the window.

I groaned a little but fully woke up when I realized I was hugging something like a pillow. I closed my eyes again and hugged it tighter. But then I felt a breath on my neck, so I backed away a little to see who it was. I was completely shocked to see who it was!

OMG! SIS! VAN. IS. NEXT. TO. ME. NAKED. SHUTANGINERS!

Even though I was extremely shocked, I managed to slowly get out of our hug without waking Van up.

OMG! What face am I going to show her later?!

Like, seriously! But I know, kasalanan ko'to kasi I initiated it huhu. Why did I do this? What was going through my beautiful brain when I did it? SHEMS.

I was just... I don't know!

I was so angry with Van yesterday, to the point of... ugh!

And the worst part is, I confessed my feelings even though I'm still not sure if this is what I feel is 'Love'?

I stood up and tiptoed towards the bathroom, closing the door slowly behind me. Napasandal ako sa pintuan and sighed. I took a bath, and afterward, I looked at my reflection.

"Luka, why did you do that?" I said, pointing at my reflection as if talking to it.

This is going to be so awkward later.

I'm really sorry, Van.

I was preparing our breakfast when I heard a door close, and I knew it was Van.

Sobrang kabado ako ngayon, hindi ko siya tiningnan kasi I am so ashamed of what I did like AH!

But I was startled when someone back-hugged me.

"Mylabs, anong niluto mo? hm?" she said to me with a smile, still hugging me.

Parang bumalik yung Van na nakilala ko kasi to what she is acting right now.

The smile, the way she calls me, and the way she is hugging me right now...

"Ahm, Van," I turned off the stove and looked at her, holding both of her hands.

"Hmm?" she replied with a smile still evident on her face.

I really don't know if sasabihin ko ba ang gusto kong sabihin sa kanya ngayon but I don't have a choice.

"Van, let's forget what happened yesterday," sabi ko, and unti-unting nawala ang smile sa mukha ni Van, and it was replaced with a confused expression.

"What?"

Van's POV

I stared at Luka, her words hanging in the air between us. Did he really want to forget everything that happened?

"Luka, ano bang ibig mong sabihin?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

He looked away, unable to meet my eyes. "I mean... it was a mistake. We were both emotional, and things got out of hand."

Her words stung, gusto kong umiyak pero I just don't let it out and I couldn't let him see. "A mistake? Luka, I thought—"

"I know, Van," he interrupted, his voice trembling. "I thought the same thing, but I was wrong. Ahm, no... it's just, I'm not sure Van, i'm confused"

 I didn't say anything but my tears betrayed me so I bow my head to hide it pero makikita niya pa rin.

"Van.." He's trying to reach me but I back out and stopped him for getting near me

"STOP! Huwag kang lalapit sa akin!" I shouted at him and he stops getting near me. I directly get all my things on the couch and went to the door but I stopped. I faced back at him still tears evident in my eyes. "Oh nga no, Mas mabuting kalimutan nalang natin 'to Madam" 

"Van, wait..."

But I faced away immediately and went to my room next door.

There, I let out all the tears I had been holding back, all the pain I had been feeling.

I cried my heart out, feeling a pang in my chest from the overwhelming pain.

I thought everything was okay...

I thought she liked me, or maybe even loved me, but I was wrong.

She was just confused.
