KILLIAN JONES

The water is slow. We're nowhere near shore and the dusk is quickly arriving upon us. My sailors are tired. And come dusk we have bigger problems than just our lack of sleep. Sirens.

For many years sirens have used their songs to lure sailors to their death. They may look beautiful, but they are the most vile and disgusting creatures I've ever encountered. I take a sip of my rum and keep on sailing, trying my best to ignore the sirens' disgustingly beautiful songs.

After many hours we've all gathered headaches from the singing. When we're far out in the middle of nowhere the sirens seem to be out, even if there's daylight. I sailed to the closest bit of land I could find for the night. We all load off the ship and into the nearby pub. Reminds me of when I met Milah. I'll never forgive that crocodile for what he did to her.

I've been out to get my revenge ever since that day. He took everything from me, destroyed my life. I've yet to find him. And even if I did I couldn't hurt him the way he hurt me. He has nothing. No one to love, and certainly no one that loves him.

Sometimes I consider giving up. I've wasted so many years after revenge and I've gotten nowhere. No. That must be the rum talking. I will find him, and I will find a way to kill him.

I sit at a table with a few of my sailors. They play poker and I just watch. I have nothing to offer. I look around at the women in the bar. There's this one blonde waitress who catches my eye. She's gorgeous.

Her hair is long and bright.Very straight. Her corset is tight around her torso and pressing her breasts up nicely. I take a swig of beer and go over to her.

"You've been on your feet for the past few hours love. Take a seat and have a drink with me."

"I can't drink on the job but that's a nice try." She pats my cheek with her hand and fills a tray with mugs. I follow after her and pull her in by her waist.

"Then when do you get off?"

"You have two seconds to stop touching me."

I tilt my head. "You're just lovely aren't you?"

She sets the tray down and prys my hand off her and takes my hook with the other hand. "Don't test me pirate." She whispers. She walks back to the counter and makes more drinks.

Tough one. I follow her back and sit at the counter. "Correct me if I'm wrong but you don't seem all that interested in speaking to me?"

"You're right, I'm not. Unless it means you'll tip generously. I don't have time for flirting or sex. I have goals that have nothing to do with you."

"Aye but they could. Perhaps I can help you."

She shakes her head. "You can't. You'll just get in the way. Now if you'll excuse me." She walks away to a table of other men. She's flirting with them. And not me? That's just bloody ridiculous. I walk over while glaring at the men. They all run away. Scaredy cats.

"You don't know what I can offer you." I whisper in her ear.

"I need gold. That's what I want. That's the only thing I need or care about. I need gold to get what I need and where i need to go." I put a sack of gold on the table. She opens and goes through it.

"You don't happen to know anything about The Dark One do you?"

She taps the table. "Doesn't ring a bell." She's lying. "Why?"

"Shame. Because if you could give me information on him I could give you as much gold as you need."

She shakes her head. "You're bluffing."I raise my eyebrow at her.

"Am I? Well then I suppose I'll just be on my way." I take my gold and start to walk away.

I hear her sigh and she grabs my arm. "Fine. But not yet. How do I know your word is good?"

"I have no use for gold. I want the dark one dead. I need the dark one dead. He ruined my life. I'd like to end his. Simple."

"You give me as much gold as I need then I'll tell you where The Dark One is."

I shake my head. "How do I know your word is good?" I'm half mocking her.

"I'll tell you he's not in this realm ."

"Right. Perhaps I should get to know you before I offer you my trust."

She groans. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"You could start off by giving me your name."

"You first."

"Killian Jones. Captain Hook to most people."

She sighs and shakes my hand. "Emma. Emma Swan."
