Even though the curse is broken, I am still the sheriff. You'd think for a town full of fairytale characters it'd be a little less problematic. But the laws are the laws. I don't make them. I just enforce it.

I'm actually not doing much law enforcement as much as I am trying to protect Regina from everyone else. She's still Henry's mother. Regardless of what she's done she's still his mother. He's the only reason she's even alive right now. He asked me not to let anyone hurt her. And I won't.

"You're a good mother Regina. But you'll never see Henry again unless you change."

"Shut up."

We have her in a cell with her magic blocked. "I'm going to get food. Do you want anything?" I hate her.

"No." I go to Granny's.

Ugh! Hook and his daughter are here. I lean at the counter and just wait for the food. Im so tired. I want to go back to Boston with Henry. But he doesn't wanna leave Regina.  Layla comes up next to me. "Emma."

"Hey kid."

"My daddy wants to talk to you." Fuck. I walk over to him.

"What do you want, Hook?"

"Two days? Or are you upping it so you don't have to see me?"

"Nope. I'll see you in two days."

"Emma if you don't like me just say that."

I shake my head. "I just like making you wait."

I go back to the counter and get my food. I give Regina her food and let Lottie go hungry in the cell next to her.

"You can't just let me die."

"I can and I will." Henry comes in. "Hey kid."

"How long is my mom gonna be locked up for?"

"As long as it takes for everyone to calm down. She's not a prisoner though."

"I think she needs to show people that she's changed."

She hasn't. "Maybe. Regina? Do you think you can do that?"

"I'll try. I really want to be better for Henry." I don't believe that at all. "And what about this?" She points at the cuff.

"Henry will take it off for you when it's time."

He smiles and hugs her. They go off together and I just sit in my chair. I miss how my life used to be. So uncomplicated. Lottie's in her cell pouting. I almost want to date Hook just to make her mad. But that's not fair to him. I still don't know how I feel. There's just so much happening.

"You can have water if you want."

"Oh gee thanks."

"It's annoying to watch you pout." 

"Good."

"You're a child."

"At least I know how I feel."

"Oh shut up. You don't know shit about me."

"I know you want to run right now. Just do it. Go back to boston. Everyone would be better off without you."

I get close to her cell. "I'm not leaving my family."

"What family? You're an orphan. Your 'parents' will just have another baby they can actually raise."

She's right. "My parents love me. And so does my son."

"He has another mom. He only likes you because he's mad at his real mom. And your parents may like you now but soon they'll realize they want a real kid. Not one that's all grown up."

"I changed my mind. Letting you die slowly isn't gonna work for me."

"You can't kill me." I wrap my hand around her throat. "I'm pregnant." She whispers in my ear while smiling.

"You're bluffing."

"Go get a pregnancy test and I'll prove it."

I roll my eyes and go to the store. My moms here too. Fucking hell. "Mary Margaret. Hi."

"Hi Emma. Oh? Is that um. Yours?"

"No."

"Right."

I groan. "It's for Hooks fake wife."

"She thinks she's pregnant?"

"Yeah, I'm getting her a test."

She nods and I go pay for it. I go back to the station and give it to her once I let her out. I take her in the bathroom and stand right outside. She comes out a few minutes later with it.

"So? Where is it?"

"In my hand."

"Give it to me." She hands it to me. Two lines. Fuck.
