Broken Poetry
Perhaps, you think this can be,
A letter from the chest in tune of glee,
Or song of a soul that wants to flee,
But merely words are written
If they can no longer be said easily.Then there goes a ruthless mind;
Train of thoughts run dark and wild;
Never been tamed by mildness of touches,
Only a touch of hand which eventually reaches,
My dormant heart that's been sleeping for ages.And, oh, so there's a crumble inside my core!
Somersaulting butterflies singing a lullaby;
Syncing in mellow to put the beast to sleep,
Mesmerized by the melody that makes me weep,
And, oh, so there's a crumble inside my core!If those orbs were widely open,
If those ears had not completely deafen,
If those lips knew when to seal,
Then, you would know the pretense from real,
And only if you follow you'll know how I feel.Perhaps, you think this is what you think it is;
A letter or a song yearning to thee.
No word is enough to express my glee,
But a paper's inked by words that can't be said easily,
So, this I plead for you to read me like a broken poetry.P.S.
Supposedly, this was meant for my crush's eyes only. But I just want to this here because IDK either? Lol. I wrote this for that particular person days before our graduation in SHS. This poem is like a farewell one, but it doesn't sound like it to me now.July 1, 2023
