His Bride - A Minsung Story

Jisung's POV:

I wake up with a smile on my face and the tiredness vanishes from my body immediately. What a perfect way to get up in the morning. I'm especially excited because Minho promised to get me a cat today! I'll finally have some company when all the others are doing things! And bonus, the cat will most likely remind me of a certain cat-like prince that I've fallen for. Win-win if you ask me.

I jump out of bed and skip into my closet and chose a relatively casual outfit. Usually, I would ask Felix to help me but I want to get out of my room as quickly as possible. Who knows, maybe Minho is already waiting for me with cats!

I trip over my own feet as I rush through the halls towards Minho's office. When I arrive, I don't bother knocking and burst through the door. Minho's eyes snap up to meet mine and he smiles when he realizes it's me.

He tilts his head to the side, "You look like you ran here."

"I did, now where are the cats, Lee?" I cross my arms playfully and stare down at him.

Minho stands up slowly, "Calm down, the person is already here. I figured you would want to choose from a couple different cats."

"I can choose whichever one I want," My eyes sparkle in happiness. Who knew this would make me so happy! Just the thought of a small, adorable friend makes me bounce on the balls of my feet in anticipation.

Minho leads me through the hallways at a sluggish pace, "Can you move any faster?!" I complain.

He gives me an innocent smile, "This is fast."

I groan and grab Minho's arm in attempt to get him to move faster, "Come on!"

Minho laughs, "Fine." He starts running down the hallways leaving me behind in shock, I didn't think he was actually going to listen.

"Yah! Lee Minho! Get back here!" I race after him and follow the sounds of his laughter echoing through the hallway. Finally, I see him stop in the distance which gives me the chance to catch up.

I stand next to him breathing heavily, "I can't believe you did that to me."

"I thought you wanted me to go faster?" Minho looks down at me.

I hit his arm lightly, "Not that fast! I'm not built for running!" I whine.

"Well if you're done whining, your cats are here," He points in the direction of a woman holding multiple cats and a couple kittens in her arms. She smiles at me when we make eye contact, I completely forget my fatigue and run up to her.

"Can I pet them?" I ask politely.

She giggles, "Of course! That's what I'm here for!"

I smile and I start petting every single on in her arms. I don't want to a kitten because that seems like a lot of work to train them, and Felix probably wouldn't be happy cleaning up after the cat. I turn my attention mostly to the older looking cats.

I look back at Minho with a large smile on my face, "Thank you so much Min!"

"Anything for you," He walks up towards the woman and starts petting some of the cats as well. My heart flutters at his comment and sudden closeness. I'm also happy that he hasn't rejected my nickname for him. It's only fair since he calls me Sungie.

A soft meow catches my attention and I spot a ginger cat hiding behind one of the woman's legs. They look so scared so I crouch down slowly and hold my hand out to see if the cat comes to me. Surprisingly the cat approaches me and starts rubbing its head on my hand. I giggle lightly and pick up the cat.

"Oh, we just got that one. She's a little bit shy so I'm excitied that she likes you so much," The lady looked at the cat fondly, "Is that the one you want?"

"Yes!" I look down at the purring cat and know instantly that she's the one. I turn to Minho once the kind lady left, "Isn't she so cute?!"

"Mhm, very cute," Minho pets the cat in my arms. A small blush makes it's way onto my cheeks as I watch the soft looks on Minho's face as he admires the cat.

"I think you should name him."

"Me? Why? She's your cat," Minho looks up at me confused.

"Just do it Min."

"Fine," He looks at her closely and considers a name, "How about.......Soonie?"

"Awwww! That's so adorable! I knew you would be good with names!" I bounce around Minho in excitement and look at my new cat, "Hello little Soonie!"

I catch Minho looking at me out of the corner of my eye, but I decide to ignore him and focus on Soonie who is now purring.

"Felix should bring you all the necessary things you'll need for the cat so don't worry," Minho explains and I stop bouncing around to listen to him, "Feel free to let Soonie roam around the castle, I'll let the staff know that you have a cat now."

I smile, "Thank you, Soonie might get sad in only my room."

It looks like Minho's about to say something else but a shrill voice cuts through the room, "Lee Minho! Get over here right now!"

I see him sigh, "I'll be there mother," He turns back to me, "I'll see you later?"

"Yeah, for sure," I frown once he's turned his back. I was hoping to spend more time with him but I guess I'll have to wait.

I start making my way through the castle so I can show Soonie my new room but I stop when I notice a girl standing in the middle of the hallway, seemingly waiting for someone. She clicks her foot impatiently on the floor like she's waiting for someone.

"Hello? Do you need any help?" I ask her curiously.

"Ugh, you're just a servant. You can't help me," She looks me up and down judgmentally. I look down at my outfit and realize how incredibly casual it looks. I guess I was too excited this morning to wear something nicer, so I don't blame her.

"Sorry, I'm actually Lee Jisung. Minho's finace."

The girl's eyes widen and a sinister smile spreads across her face, "Oh so it's you.

We have so much to discuss."
