Jisung's POV:
The day has finally arrived! I can't stop the excitement from bubbling up within me as we approach the grand castle. Hyunjin has to physically hold me back from running into the cathedral. I'm sorry, but this line is incredibly boring!
I take in the beautiful scenery, the flowers, the clear sky, the birds singing, and the sweet aroma that fills the air. Everyone is waiting patiently in line to be let into the main cathedral but there are some seats outside for those who don't fit. The aisle is so incredibly long, I feel bad for the bride who has to walk all that way in heels. The color scheme is pink, yellow, and white. Everything is one of those 3 colors and it makes the whole area look elegant. I have to resist from leaving the line to smell the flowers. This is totally my dream wedding! Well, maybe with less people because ew people but my point still stands, it's my dream wedding.
The people here are beautifully dressed and if I wasn't gay then I would probably be hitting on some of these girls. I side glanced at Hyunjin to see him looking at some of the guests, I wonder if he's going to try to talk to any of them.
"Aren't you happy you came now?" I turn to ask Hyunjin. He gives me a half-hearted shrug but the small smile on his face tells me otherwise. I know he's impressed by the beauty.
"I guess it's alright," He answers. I roll my eyes and almost start to tease him for it but the church bells ring out before I can say anything. That signals that the wedding is going to start in 30 minutes. I couldn't help but feel the electric buzz that is going through my body. I have never been a part of something so beautiful and important. And of course I'll get to see the prince, which I'm not complaining about because everyone who has seen him says he's the most handsome person they've ever seen and I would like to be the judge of that.
"Jisungieeeee~" Hyunjin shakes my shoulders slightly to get my attention.
I raise my eyebrow at him, "What now?"
"I'm really thirsty! Do you think you could get me something to drink? Maybe water? OH! Or an Americano?" Hyunjin asks me with the biggest smile on his face. I roll my eyes, why would there be Americano's at a wedding?
"You know what? I'm feeling nice today, I'll try to find some water," I smile at Hyunjin and walk away. I kinda feel obligated to be nice to him since he helped me the other night. Just the thought of that night makes me shudder so I quickly brush the memory away. I see a small open door at the side of the cathedral and I walk towards it. No one is stopping me and it's open so I figure that I can't be doing anything wrong. It would be closed if they didn't want me here, right?
I casually walk through the door and look around for any type of water fountain. After walking for a while I let out a sigh, at this point if I find a pond I will bring that water to Hyunjin. I'm so done with this because you'd think there would be signs! People these days.
After I realize that I've completely walked around the back hallways of the cathedral I turn to make my way back towards the line. I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't find water because now I'm kinda thirsty.
I hear a loud crash followed by yelling and arguing. I saw a group of women in the distance, so my curiosity got the best of me and believe me when I say curiosity killed the cat. More like killed Jisung's chance at life.
"Oh my god you're perfect!" One of the women looked right at me. In my confusion, I turned around to check if anyone was behind me. And wouldn't you know it, she was looking at me.
"Excuse me?" But before I could get out any more protests, 5 different girls dragged me into a separate room. I hate to admit it but this is rather beautiful. The flowers decorated almost every corner of the room which gave the area a soothing aroma and white, soft looking chairs were dotted around the space.
My train of thought was cut off by loud, high-pitched squealing. They sound like off pitched parrots!! Who knew girls could be that loud?! It's like my skull is being sliced in half.
"Hey! Let go of me!" I rip my arm away from one of the girls, "What are you even doing?!"
I took tentative steps backwards because this is totally freaking me out right now. The girls exchanged glances with each other and seemed to have a whole conversation without saying a word. It is beyond me how people do that.
"So basically the bride ran away and you are, like, exactly the same size as Kayla! We just need someone to walk down that aisle because no one knows yet who's marrying Prince Lee Know. It was a secret! So anyone will do! We just really ne-"
"Absolutely not! Do you want me to throw my life away? For some prince!" Even if he's extremely handsome, "I don't think so."
I put my foot down and crossed my arms over my chest. There's no way I'm doing this because please, I don't care about the royals that much. Even though I may or may not be fantasizing about kissing Prince Lee Know, I will restrain myself.
"He's a prince, you should want to serve the royal family! Any girl would kill to be in your position," Another girl spoke up.
"Does it look like I'm a girl," I deadpan. These people can't be serious. I turn my attention to the door as I hear it open. My eyes widen as my eyes land on a bodyguard, a very bulky and handsome one, might I add. I take a step back in fear of his intimidating presence.
"Is there a problem here?" The bodyguard asks as his eyes survey the room and then widen in surprise when they land on me. I suppose he was expecting the girl that was supposed to marry the prince.
"Chan! Oh my god, you're an angel! Please force this person to marry the prince!" One of the girls whines, she sounds like a bitch, all offense meant because they're trying to get me to throw away my life. I scoff, he can try to make me do this.
"Where's Kayla?"
"She ran away and everyone is waiting out there. The prince has to marry someone today! And we found the perfect person, he has the right measurements too."
This Kayla person probably couldn't take the annoying whining of these girls and bolted; I scoff at the thought. To my horror, Chan nods his head in understanding. Is he seriously agreeing to this?! This is kidnapping!
Chan turns his attention to me and a sincere smile graces his face, and I get whiplash because I didn't expect such a nice expression paired with his intimidating demeanor, "I know this is probably really confusing," Yeah no shit, "But we really need to keep this image," To hell with the royal image, I'm being kidnapped here, "And we're prepared to pay for anything you want. We can help your family get a nicer house or start a business or relieve debt or anything you could think of."
He caught my attention at the offer. I know my family has been struggling recently, especially with Jiselle now getting older and eating significantly more food. That money could really help us and god knows I don't make enough working for Jinnie at the library.
I uncross my arms and let out an exaggerated sigh, "Fine, I'll do it. But only if you help both my family and my friend's family."
Chan grinned, "Deal."
