Chapter 5: Patience and Consistency

It's now May 3, the day I will never forget, while we were in school (FYI: It was only morning classes that day) I was excited to give Kent one of my hoodies with his favorite brand Stussy, I gave it to him in class and I can tell he was kinda embarrassed but eh I gave it to him anyways because it was so big, and it couldn't fit in my bag. Then during recess, I went to Kent to ask him if he would like to come with me to the mall to spend time and because Kent barely went to malls, I thought it would be nice for him to explore a little. But I had a secret little date plan for me and him, A Photobooth Date, I was wearing a white cardigan and I told him to wear the jacket I gave him. "Kent, wear the hoodie I gave you so we could match" I said, so he hurriedly went to the restroom to change, and I bought Kopikuys (Iced Coffee) for me and him because the money I carried in my wallet that time was a Thousand-peso bill. I waited for Kent for minutes, but I was starting to get worried on why he was taking so long, so I decided to go look for him myself, but then I saw him walking towards me and he called out my name "Aya!" I was stunned because the hoodie suit him so much and I smiled at him as we made our way to the photobooth shop. We went in and took our time to think of poses and find our props, I chose for Kent and gave him bunny ears and heart glasses, I was smiling and making fun of him because he looked so adorable, and he looked like he just accepted his fate, and I wore a red ribbon headband and took bunny ears with me too. But I also had another plan in mind, the reason why I took him on this kind of date was to redo the photobooth date Vinny and Yumi from Windbreaker did, then after choosing our props, we went in the booth and took our time following the instructions of the machine, we were laughing so hard because we were so clueless on how it worked, then the timer has started we posed simple yet cute ones. Every photo was so funny and loving and cute, I payed for 2 kinds of photos one was 3 photos, and the other was 4, but while we had our photos taken there was a song that played in my head, it was Mrs. Magic by Strawberry Guy, me and Kent laughed and smiled a lot during the photoshoot, in the 3 poses in the first picture we were wearing our bunny headbands and Kent was hugging me from behind while his face was resting on my head and I covered my mouth in a cute way, the second photo was me wearing the red ribbon headband and him still with the bunny ears and heart glasses the pose was me behind Kent leaning my arms on his shoulders and I covered my mouth while he smiled awkwardly and we both did the peace sign, and the third photo was him hugging me from behind, with our bunny ears again but this time looking up and closing my eyes while smiling softly. When it was finished, we patiently waited for our photos while me and him made eye contact, when the photos dropped from the machine, we looked at it and Kent looked like he was cringed by himself while I was laughing and blushing so hard making fun of him. Then I inserted money again to take more photos but this time no more props and it is now the 4 photos, the first photo was me standing beside Kent and put my one arm on his chest and the other above his head and did a peace sign over his head and I smiled with teeth and Kent's facial expressions were his grumpy face again HAHAHA (it gave people the idea that we really were a black cat and orange cat kind of couple), then the second photo I didn't know what to do anymore so Kent did a pose with his hand on his eyes, which I could not understand and did not know how to do it so I just did my own version and did a circle over my eye too, the third photo was just me putting my chin on his shoulders and we both smiled, then the last photo was me leaning my chin on Kent's shoulders again and he smiled while I did a frowny face, then my hands formed a heart shape while he did the peace sign. But while were taking our pictures, my mom called me thrice but I just ignored it and enjoyed the time I had with Kent but deep inside I was scared because my mom knew my classes were only half day that time, So, we waited again for the photo to drop from the machine but this time something happened just wait for it, after the last 2 photos dropped from the machine, I gave the other two for Kent and the other two for me and I thought to myself while shaking in fear: "I think today's the day I should make the move to Kent, I'm gonna kiss him". I- was- so- nervous and scared because maybe he wasn't ready, but I wanted to show Kent that I really was serious with him, so let me make the scene with what we said and did during that time for you:
