He wants to befriend you.. Maybe more..?
Hachi, team leader of Team Hachi, has seen you around lately and has gotten impressed. Of course he is kindaa easily impressed, he just wanted to get to know you more.
While Hachi was walking around he spotted you, sitting at a table in the plaza. He had to take this as an opportunity to try and talk and befriend you!
"H- Hi!- I'm Hachi!"
The Octoling boy said, walking over to the table you were sitting at.
"You look really cool, and uh-..."
Hachi seemed to think for a second. Seeming like he was literally at a loss for words.
"... I was wondering if I could sit with you!- Yeah!"
Hachi quickly said with a smile waiting for your response.
"Aha..- Sorry if this is so sudden ha ha ha..-"
He said, rubbing his arm before waiting again for your answer.
An Octoling? Oh yeah, after that deep sea Metro thing or whatever, Octolings have been starting to become more noticeable. Nicee... Though... Is it an Octoling? Or just an inkling with a cool hair style? That's the real question... HMM You were a bit confused before shrugging your thoughts off and saying, sure, to him.
"Okay!"
Hachi said rather relieved as he sat across from you, putting his blaster down on the table. He leaned forward on the table, just looking at you curiously.
"You have a really nice hairstyle."
Hachi said rather bluntly, looking at your hair before looking away from embarrassment. You were slightlyyy taken back but ignored it, saying thanks.
"You're welcome."
Hachi said simply before looking back up at you, the smile returning on his face.
".... So why are you sitting here by yourself- You aren't waiting for any friend or uh?-"
Hachi paused, just looking at you waiting for an answer, which you answered with that 'you were waiting for your teammates.'
Hachi's eyebrows shot up in curiosity.
"Teammates? You play turf war?"
Hachi asked, seeming a bit surprised but curious. You were confused before nodding and replying, who doesn't play turf war????
"... No one..-"
Hachi quickly replied, slightly embarrassed by his own question to an extent. HE WAS JUST CURIOUS. He paused before continuing to speak.
"Uhhh... What rank are you!"
Hachi asked. You then said your rank score.
"WHA- REALLY!"
Hachi said in a slight shock, looking surprised at your response.
"You're in (--) rank?"
He asked to clarify, you then nodded.
"Soooooooo cool!!"
Hachi thought with a blush before thinking.
"... Goddamn Hachi.."
Hachi thought to himself before shaking it off.
"How long have you been playing turf for?"
Your response was somewhere around the lines of thirteen. Since that's the 'legal' age in the Splatoon universe lmaoo.
"Since thirteen?!"
Hachi said a bit shocked, eyes widening. Looking back at you.
"Damn, you're really good then.."
You nodded with a smile. And justtt as the conversation was getting good, your team popped up. Hachi quickly noticed your team coming back and looked a bit disappointed but brushed that feeling off, trying to look neutral as he looked at you.
"Well- I'll be going now- It was nice talking with you!"
You looked at Hachi before smiling and saying your own goodbye.
"Yeah- Bye bye!"
Hachi said a little quickly. He couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed by how quick the interaction ended between you too. But there's always next time! He grabbed his blaster and headed off as you greeted your teammates.
