Almost every month there were meetings set up by different leaders, also known as captains, from teams to discuss what they will do next season. In these meetings only the captains were allowed to go, because of this you would get to see S ranks or even X ranks Inklings and Octolings! So cool.... Yet so far.
Let me explain.
"—That's what he said just more ehhh... Cold."
Your teammate said to you as you both walked out of the lobby. You two were discussing about the other teams with higher ranks than you and your teammates, let's say your rank isss ehhhh A, an even letter. You quietly nodded at your teammate, also one of your closest friends, as they explained about the leader of team X-Blood. For some odd reason you were always fond of the leader known as Vintage. Just his cold and quiet demeanor always struck you weirdly.
Butttt luckily for you one of your friends, Goggles, was going to talk to you about the guy! But.... Goggles can be uh uh uh uh....
Erm
Yeah, you already knew you were going to just have to ask someone else. Think. Think think think, who can help you ask questions to Vintage .. You were while staring at the ground, not really realizing your friend was already walking away from you just being quiet.
"He gets along with the leader of team purple... Maybe I could-"
You spoke out loud, expecting to see your teammate next to you but instead it was... Literally Vintage himself.
"..."
You were slightly embarrassed and surprised. Embarrassed being you were just talking about Vintage OUT LOUD to the dude himself and surprised because, he literally is just, there. You turned away and quickly apologized. Vintage's expression is... Unchanged, and he was also looking at you. I GUESS he heard you talk about him.
"Uh ... How much did you hear?—"
"—All of it."
Vintage said in his usual monotone voice, his facial expression not changing once. Yikes. Well... Maybe you could use this as a chance to ask him some questions.
"Oh well.. Uh. Then, can I ask you some questions?"
You asked. Normally, you were not really the type of person to get so uneasy but someone, but since Vintage is well Vintage, and you were already embarrassed by the conversation being blown to his fucking face.. yeah.
"You have three questions, make them quick."
Vintage didn't sound mad but as always he sounded indifferent as always. Wait.. what? He.. HES LETTING YOU ASK QUESTIONS? At this point you were wondering why you were going to use one of your friends or teammates to ask him questions, he isn't that bad! You think. I think. We all think. Erm.
"Uh, let's see.. How did you get so good at Turf War? Or rank in that matter.."
You asked.
"Practice is the main one. Learning on how to better your aim, your reaction time, and many other things."
Vintage spoke bluntly and plainly, his answer seemingly serious. He crossed his arms while still looking down at you.
"So cool."
Is what you were probably thinking.
"Right, right...– And, what about uh, say whenever your teammates are behind?"
"I pay no attention to my teammates because I know that they will do their jobs as I know what each of their roles and abilities are."
Vintage said in a calm tone, he sounded like he was getting a bit annoyed. He was probably just bored. That or maybe it was because of the questions.
"So cool."
You accidentally said out loud. Awh, cringe💕🍰🍨IM KIDDDNG IM LITERALLY WRITING THIS🙄🙄🙄😣😣😖😖😖
"Mhm."
Vintage simply hummed out in response, his eyes still on you. You quietly stared at Vintage before turning around and walking away. Embarrassing🤑 cuteness, very cute.
Vintage just watched you walk away as your face was completely red from embarrassment, same for your pointy ears, or circle ears.... Octolings and Inklings.
Vintage was slightly confused but went back inside the lobby... But little did you know your teammate was watching with a smug smile. YEP, they planned it. They purposely walked away, got the man, and made him go towards you. Cuteness.
