"I ask that... all of you accept them as I have..." Ubuyashiki requested

Silence was among the Hashira

For a few moments

"Oyakata-sama... with all due respect, even if it's what you desire... I cannot agree with this..." Gyomei spoke first

"I hope you forgive me, Oyakata-sama! Although I respect you with all my heart, but this is an incomprehensible notion! This demon must be killed immediately!" Rengoku followed

"I agree with Himejima and Rengoku! We cannot allow this unflamboyant demon to survive!" Uzui said last

"L-Let's all calm down and hear what m-more Oyakata-sama has to say...?" Mitsuri suddenly spoke, laughing nervously

"Finally... someone uses their intelliegence..." Kanae said

"T-Thank you!" Mitsuri thanked, triyng not to squeal

(She has such a fearsome persona... yet she said something nice! So cool!) Mitsuri thought

"The letter..." Ubuyashiki asked one of his daughters

"Hai..."

Ubuyashiki's child then took the letter and looked at it before reading it...

"This letter is received from former Hashira, Sakonji Urokodaki... it reads... 'On the mountains two years ago... the Flower Hashira, Kanae Kocho, came to me with Tanjiro Kamado, and his sister, Nezuko Kamado came to me. His sister who was a demon, even in a starved state, never devoured humans, and this has held more than two years later. I ask that you allow Tanjiro Kamado and his sister to be allowed to travel together. In the case that Nezuko should kill or harm any human... I, Sakonji Urokodaki, will atone by committing seppuku... as for Kanae Kocho, she decided that she should be banished from the Demon Slayer Corps until the end of her days...'." She read

Silence filled the atmosphere for a few seconds

The Hashira looked a little taken back from the letter... but Shinobu, was struck the most from the part where her sister was to be banished...

(She... she can't possibly...) Shinobu thought

Silence filled the atmosphere for a few seconds

"So what if that old man commits seppuku and Kocho should be banished, it won't change the fact that she MIGHT kill a human! This is a demon, Oyakata-sama! Not after all that we have gone through and all the lives lost! It is... UNNACEPTABLE!" Sanemi protested

"I agree with Shinazugawa, Oyakata-sama! We can't trust on only the good will of this boy! If she does kill and devour a human, there's no coming back from that! It won't bring back the people who were killed!" Rengoku spoke, agreeing with Sanemi

(I knew that wouldn't be enough...) Kanae thought

"It's true we can't guarantee that she won't attack humans... nor can we prove it..." Ubuyashiki spoke

"I can..." Kanae suddenly said

All the Hashira's attention went toward her

"You can prove it, Kanae?" Ubuyashiki asked

"Yes..."

"Go ahead... if it does prove her innocence..."

Kanae grabbed Nezuko's box and started walking up on the platform and faced toward the Hashira
