If yall noticed, I've updated each Happiness & Death chapter with titles. So for this one its Insult, Part 1 is Cruelty, Part 2 is Grief, and so on. So yeah, I hope yall will enjoy
Happiness... What is it? It is generally agreed that it is regarded as the ultimate goal of anyone's existence... it is something everyone seeks... it varies from person to person. Some may associate it with material success of fulfillment of their desires... others may find it in what they love doing as hobbies... but... a lot of people if not most, will find it in relationships.
But happiness can't be forced upon or happen straight way... there's hardships people have to face. And facing those hardships with its struggles and its sadness, usually leads to happiness in the end... sometimes... happiness is too good to be true... and unfortunately... This is what Kanae was facing...
"I promise you Kanae... I will always love you as you are..." Giyu said
"I know... and I shall do the same..." Kanae says as Giyu smiles
"This is too perfect..."
Kanae giggles
"And how is that going to stop us~?"
Giyu chuckles
"Nothing can... maybe a little resistance if Shinazugawa finds out..." Giyu said
"Giyu-kun... we'll be fine..." Kanae says reassuringly, grabbing Giyu's hand
"...I know we will" Giyu said
There was a moment of silence between the two...
"What are you thinking?" Giyu asks
"...I think... I should buy additional food for us... you can cook while I do so..." Kanae said
"Oh? You don't want me to come?" Giyu asked
"I can handle it myself, don't worry" Kanae replied
"Alright... I trust you..." Giyu said
(So lovable...)
"Kanae..."
"Hm?"
"When are we... going to... you know... reveal our engagement to your sisters?" Giyu asked
"Oh... hmmm... I think... I will announce it to them first..." Kanae replied
"I think that's for the best..." Giyu said as Kanae smiles
"I'll be back in no time, Giyu-kun~" She says
Kanae then goes outside
She follows the path towards the Butterfly Mansion, she walked in silence, and as she continued to approach her home...
(Hmm... back at the mansion... should i continue Kanao's tra-
"Wait... what am I thinking..." Kanae mumbled to herself, shaking her head
"That nightmare was really something huh... I should probably wash my face..." Kanae goes to the well nearby
She leans over the blue water, her reflection was crystal clear, she sighed to herself and picks up some water with both of her hands... and just then, hundreds of air bubbles appeared, and after they disappear, the reflection was now different... and talking?
"Wake up!"
Kanae's eyes widened... she backed up away a little, but then she went back to look at her reflection once again...
"Wake up!"
A massive splash came after, as Dream Kanae was pulled into the water...
"Wake up! We're under attack! It's a dream! This is a dream!" Kanae said
