                         A week earlier

We inform you that today, from about 11 o'clock at night, Seoul time, the largest meteor shower in history is expected. The meteor shower will pass around the world, which can be seen with the naked eye.....

Lying lazily on the living room couch and scrolling through the TV, Choi Jungeun stopped at a news channel that was talking about a "star shower."
"I'd like to see this meteor shower with Jiyoon unnie," she whispered. Suddenly, the voice from the TV was drowned out by a loud knock from the front door. Not expecting guests, Jungeun stood up and walked towards the sound. Looking through the peephole, she saw Jiyoon waiting. Without hesitation, Choi unlocked the front door, only to see a sweet smile appear on the eldest's beautiful face.
-Hello, little Jung-ah
-Unnie, what are you doing here?" - Jungeun said in a surprised tone
- Today is the day off and I really miss my friend
- I thought you had a date with Yeonjun
- Change of plans, are you letting me in or do you like talking at the door
- Oh yeah, sure come in - the younger one answered with Yoon Jiyoon, stepping aside. Jungeun had known each other for as long as she could remember. The girls had been neighbors since they were babies. Jungeun doesn't remember exactly how their friendship began, and to this day, Yoon and Choi are impossible to see apart. It may sound like a cheap romantic movie, but the reality is that Choi Jungeun has an unrequited crush on her best friend. And that would be okay, but the problem is that Yoon Jiyoon was 100% straight and had a jerk boyfriend on her tail.

-What were you doing? - the girl who had just arrived asked, sitting on the sofa.
- Watching TV, - Choi answered.
- What were you watching?
- The news.
- What interesting things did they say?
- They reported a meteor shower.
- Hmm, I heard about it too, - Yoon said, thinking for a second. Deciding to keep herself busy, Jungeun started flipping through the channels again.
- Let's watch it together, - Jiyoon suddenly spoke up.
- What should we watch, unnies?
- A meteor shower.
- Wouldn't you like to see it with Yeonjun?
As painful as it may sound, her first and only love was dating a guy whom Jungeun had a terrible dislike for.

And here again, Jiyoon, without even noticing it, gives false hope for her feelings. The eldest was very clingy to her. Every time she said or did things that were unusual for friends, Jungeun couldn't stop the flow of pleasant emotions. It might sound selfish, but she wanted the girl to pay all her attention only to her.

- That's great, and now I'm craving a hug from my dear friend - Jiyoon said, spreading her arms out to the sides. Choi grinned and settled comfortably next to Yoon
- What about a hug? - the older one whined childishly, pouting her lips
- It's hot - the girl said, making up an excuse, "Sorry unnie, but I can't stand another heart attack." Suddenly feeling a head on her right shoulder and an arm wrapped around her waist, Jungeun looked at Jiyoon.
- What are you doing?
- Hug me and don't you dare grumble, I won't leave anyway. Choi, not daring to hide her wide smile, with a pleasant flutter in her chest, directed her gaze to the TV.
- By the way, where are Aunt Dara and Uncle Minho?
- Mom is on shift, dad will stay late.
Choi Dara and Choi Minho were Jungeun's parents. The girl's mother worked as a nurse at a local hospital, and her father was a manager at a construction company.
- Then it turns out we are alone.
- Yeah.
And so, in a cozy silence, two girls watched a random program. Such is the reality of the fact that one of them considered the other just a friend, and the other the love of her life.
