Looking up at the lighthouse that seemed to be completely different than before. It looked much older now but that didn't take away from it's beautiful antique look. A figure emerged from the doorway almost filling the frame only growing larger as it got closer. My mind was telling me to run but my body was not listening. Instead, I just sat there waiting for it to reach me. Suddenly a much smaller figure appeared from behind the giant silhouette. For a moment my hopes were up because it felt like it was my mother walking towards me. The dark outline even resembled her, but I knew it couldn't be her.

She was gone.

"Mom..."

Whispered with tears in my eyes, during the moment of silence as they finally reached me. The sweetest voice that was like a hummingbird replied back. I know that voice, I'm sure of it.

"Oh, sweet child... how I wish I could have taken her place. So that it was her in this moment with you."

"She would be so proud of you Little Storm." The giant rang in.

They stopped just in front of me, a loud snap and the giant's finger balanced a light on it. I could see their faces for the first time. The large figure was definitely a giant of some kind from what I could see then the woman...

"Sky, I don't know if you remember me at all, but I am your..."

I shot up before she could finish wrapping my arms tightly around her neck. I was so afraid if I let go, she wouldn't really be there. She did the same holding me tight as my tears ran down her blouse.

"Aunt Nes..."

It was the only words that came out as I buried my head into the crease of her neck. My aunt left us right after my 7th birthday, it made me so angry, and I didn't care why she did it. Let's be real, I was only 7.

"You never called... or wrote... or came back for me."

Yelling at her as loud as my horse voice would let me. She just hugged me tighter and started telling me how sorry she was.

"I had to keep so many safe sweet child. It was not something I wanted to do but for everyone's safety, I had to leave. Adamins and Auradas lives needed to be protected. They wanted your mother to go but I was not about to let them take her from you, so I took her place. I understand how hard that was not only on my end but all of yours as well."

"What are you talking about? What does any of that mean?" I was so confused by the words she was using.

"In time child you will learn what all this and more means."

(pausing a minute, looking down, she didn't want to say the next part)

"When I got the news of your parents, I wanted to be there for you, but I could not until we were sure it was safe. (she looked at the woman) I see that we were right to wait, (looking back at me) it was not safe to open the doors until your seventeenth birthday and not a moment sooner."

She snapped her fingers twice. The first snap placed the woman in chains and then with the second snap, she was gone.

"Where did she go?"

"To a cell in the City of Aiyana to await judgment for her crimes. Murder of a Keeper is one of the most upheld laws that don't get broken, then on top of that she tried to murder the next heir in line."

Thinking for a minute, "What's a Keeper?"

Looking at me like my first schoolteacher did when I asked her what two plus two was. Wiping tears from my eyes before hers, she told me that in time all my questions will be answered. The giant kneeled down beside us bowing his head.
