1: My Room Has A What?

"Everybody rise, for Master Chen has arrived." Clause said and a man with a big hat came down from the roof of the room with his chair. 

"Welcome, to the tournament of elements! And now you can all just die! And admire me." Chen laughed out.

"I forgot to tell you, but he is a very big theatre kid," Garmadon whispered to the group but Y/N still managed to catch what he said.

"There have never been so many elemental masters under the same roof. Elements that have come to this tournament are fire, earth, shadow, speed and even the prophesied green ninja. And over here, the one and only elemental master of love. Without forgetting to mention even a former pupil of mine has come to grace us with his presence." Chen spoke while walking around the room. He then pointed his hand towards a gong that stood behind him.

"That symbol over there represents the anacondrai, the whole world's most fiercest soldiers. And the motto, 'Only one can remain'." He finished speaking and then someone hit the gong which revealed a board with all of them on it. 

'Why aren't I on the board?' Y/N thought as she looked at it. She then glanced at Chen had been staring at her. He smirked at her and she felt a very bad feeling in her gut, as if something inside of her was trying to warn her of something.

"Why aren't you on the board?" Shade who had been sitting next to her the whole time whispered to Y/N. "You noticed it too?"

"Some of you have already noticed that one person remains missing from the board. Thats correct! That's because there's an uneven number of elemental masters here, which is why I have decided to have this challenge first. Behold and admire the Jade sword!" Chen said and pointed towards Clouse who took a Jade sword from a chest that stood beside him.

"Here the Jade sword represents life. In the first round, you must acquire one of these and bring it here. Then you move on to the next round. However, there is one that is missing, as the person who shows up empty-handed will be eliminated. The rules are simple. No same type of challenge, no same type of fight. You'll only survive to the next round using the power of your element. Use them or suffer!" Chen explained.

"And what does Karlof win?" Karlof rasped and Chen looked at him with a bit of a stink eye. 

"Well, the winners stay on the island and the whole tournament winner wins an immeasurably big fortune! And free master Chens noodles for the rest of their lives. But you guys didn't come here to fight for noodles but for the honour of being the best fighter of Ninjago!" Chen shouted out and the crowd erupted into cheers.

"But what happens when you lose?" Garmadon asked.

"Lose? Who came here to lose?" Chen laughed and mocked him, making everyone else laugh as well.

Y/N looked at Shade who was also laughing at the mockery, feeling a little sad that he too decided to join in on this mockery. She scooted a little closer to the man next to her who Chen introduces as the master of speed.

"You alright?" The man asked her. 

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little uncomfortable." She answered him.

"I'm Griffin Turner, the elemental master of speed. Faster than fast and swifter than swift." He introduced himself to her. She giggled a little at the comment at the end before introducing herself to him too.

"I'm Y/N Kanroji, the elemental master of love."
