Present

"Not gonna lie, I didn't think you'd come." Javi says breaking the silence in the car as we drive to wherever his team is at. Me and Kate just got off the plane an hour ago and we're already on the way.

"I don't think either of us were planning on it at first," I say as Kate just gives Javi a smile.

"Well I'm glad you changed your minds. Nice upgrade from the old day, huh?" He catches me and Kate looking at his technology.

"Yeah, how are you paying for all of this?" She asks.

"I got investors, ya know, storms are getting more erratic. Lots of new house developments going up so the developers want full time weather data." He explains to us. "So anytime a new building goes up I want a Storm Par radar right there letting the people know exactly what the storm's gonna do.

"I'm telling you I really feel like we're gonna change the game here guys." He finishes. We both nod smiling. The excitement in his voice makes me smile, kind of reminds me how we all used to be. "What?" He asks catching us both giving him a look.

"Oh it's just, business entrepreneur wasn't how I saw your future," I nod as Kate speaks. "We used to be lucky if we could get you to wear pants."

"That's true," I laugh from the back.

"Well that hasn't completely changed," He smiles.

Kate soon goes back to looking out the window, but this time she's smiling instead of getting lost in sad thoughts. I shake my head at what he says and go back to looking out mine.

Soon enough we get there and Javi walks us past the crowd of people to what I'm assuming is his team. 

"Bring it in team," He tells all the guys dressed in storm par branded outfits who turn and come over to us, "Alright, you guys have all heard me talk about Kate and Spencer, how no one has better instincts. They're the smartest people I know." He looks over at us. I look down and I can see Kate to the same out the corner of my eye.

 "They're the best." He turns back to the team, telling us about them now. "And you will never work with a more talented team than this one. Look we got PHDs from NASA, FEMA, and WS."

"Got the whole alphabet." I say, Kate nudges me.

"We're the best," Javi turns to look at me, "Except for Scott, my partner here," He turns to a tall man in a white button up who looks like there's a stick stuck up his ass. Javi walks over and puts a hand on his shoulder. "He went to MIT instead of Muskogee State. But, uh, he makes up for it with his beautiful amazing personality."

Scott gives a sarcastic smile as Javi pats his shoulders before his face goes back to a glare.

"I can tell," I say which earns me another nudge from Kate. Somehow Scott glares even harder.

"Well, Spence and Kate are only giving us a week," He drops his hand from Scott, "But while we have 'em," He gives a little 'ooo' cheer, "It's gonna be the wildest tornado week you've ever seen, fellas." Some of the team chuckle.

 "Yeah and everyone with a ten dollar weather app knows it." Scott says. Okay Debbie-downer. "We gotta stay ahead of this Circus."

Suddenly we're all interrupted by a bunch of loud honking and a red truck followed by two other vehicles drive up, blasting music. What the heck is going on?

We all turn and just stare in confusion as they get closer, the red truck slowing in front of us with a man sticking out the passenger side window.

"Hey Storm Par!" A dark haired man says, holding a camera. "We're live on YouTube. Say something!"
