Early the next morning, Percy, Hermione, David, and Valerie gathered at the training grounds as instructed. The area had been transformed into a complex maze of obstacles, enchanted creatures, and various magical contraptions designed to test their abilities. In the far end, they could see the Quidditch teams practicing as well. And on the other side, Madam Hooch led a flying class. The court was definitely crowded.

Standing at the center of the training grounds was a tall, imposing woman with sharp features and a commanding presence. She had silver hair pulled back into a tight bun and wore deep purple robes that billowed around her as she moved. She carried herself with an air of authority that immediately demanded respect.

"Good morning," she greeted them, her voice firm. "I am Professor Arcadia Wren, and I will be overseeing your training for the Magestrife Tournament."

The students exchanged wary glances, already feeling the weight of the day ahead.

Professor Wren continued, "This tournament will test you in ways you have never been tested before. You will need to demonstrate not only your magical abilities but also your physical endurance, strategic thinking, and ability to work as a team. Over the coming weeks, we will cover a variety of disciplines, including advanced spellcasting, dueling, potion-making, magical creatures, and navigation of complex environments."

She paused, her sharp eyes scanning each of them. "Today, we will start with the basics. Physical endurance. I will divide you into pairs for the morning session. Miss Granger and Miss Aesther, you will work together. Mr. Jackson and Mr. Vatroslav, you are paired. Let's see what you are made of."

Percy glanced at David, who looked pale and anxious. His hands were already shaking, and Percy could tell this was not going to be easy for him.

Professor Wren didn't waste any time getting started. She led the group to a series of large, enchanted obstacles that lined one side of the training grounds. These included towering walls, moving platforms, and rope climbs that reached dizzying heights.

"First," she announced, "we will test your physical endurance and agility. Each pair will navigate through this obstacle course. Remember, speed is not the only factor; precision and teamwork are equally important."

Percy turned to David, who was visibly trembling next to him. "You good?" Percy asked him.

David nodded, though his expression was still one of deep unease. "Y-yes," he stammered.

Professor Wren raised her hand, and with a sharp flick of her wrist, the course came to life. Platforms began shifting, ropes swung in the air, and walls rotated. "Begin!"

Hermione and Valerie took off first, moving efficiently. Percy and David followed, but it was clear from the start that David was struggling. He tripped over the first set of moving platforms, barely catching himself before falling.

Percy quickly steadied David, grabbing his arm before he could tumble to the ground.

David's face was pale, and Percy could see the fear in his eyes. "Sorry," he muttered, his voice shaky.

The next challenge was a series of swinging ropes that required. Percy made it across effortlessly, but David hesitated, his hands trembling as he reached for the first rope.

David took a deep breath and grabbed the rope, but his grip was weak, and he struggled to swing to the next one. Percy watched anxiously as David barely made it to the second rope, his movements jerky and unsteady. He was kinda worried the guy would fall down to his death... or a really serious injury.
