As the morning came, Migs woke up and gently kissed her two beautiful girls. She then went to the bathroom to take a shower. When she finished showering, she saw Amara awake, staring at the ceiling. Migs approached her and said, "Oh, hi pretty, you're awake."
Amara hugged her with a sleepy state and murmured, "I’m going to miss you."
Migs reassured her, "It's just one year, love. Don't worry."
Amara sighed, "Just one year? That's so long."
Migs laughed softly and said, "Don't cry na."
Their conversation stirred Madie from her sleep. She woke up to see her Kuya Migs and Ate Amara hugging and smiled. Migs gently broke the hug and began putting on her uniform.
"Are you leaving now, Kuya?" Madie asked with a hint of sadness.
"Yes, baby," Migs replied, her voice tender. "Kuya has to go on her mission. But I'll be back before you know it."
Madie hugged her tightly, and Amara joined in, wrapping her arms around both of them. The three of them shared a moment of warmth and love, knowing that the coming year would be a test of their strength and patience.
As Migs finished putting on her uniform, she looked at Amara and Madie with determination. "I’ll be back soon. Just wait for me, okay?"
Amara and Madie nodded, their eyes filled with hope and love. They watched as Migs grabbed her things, ready to face the challenges ahead, knowing that she had a family waiting for her return.
As Migs was about to leave, she kissed Madie gently on the forehead and said, "Magpakabait ka dito ha?" Madie nodded, tears streaming down her face.
"Don't cry, baby," Migs reassured her, wiping away her tears. "Kuya will be back soon, okay?"
Migs then picked up Madie, giving her another kiss before setting her down gently. Turning to Amara, she embraced her tightly, pressing her lips to hers in a lingering kiss. "Please take care of my sister, love," Migs whispered.
"I will, Migs. Be careful out there, okay? We still have to get married," Amara replied, her voice trembling slightly.
Migs kissed her again, then added, "Clade is going to pick you up. I called her earlier." Amara smiled, touched by Migs' thoughtfulness.
As Migs' service arrived, signaling that it was time to go, Amara couldn't hold back any longer. She ran to Migs, wrapping her arms around her in a long, tight hug, their lips meeting once more in a passionate kiss.
"Mag-ingat ka ha?" Migs said softly, her forehead resting against Amara's.
"Yes, Migs. Mag-message ka sakin pag nakarating ka na don ha?" Amara responded, her voice filled with emotion.
"I will, Mrs. Lim," Migs promised with a teasing smile, trying to lighten the mood.
With one last look at her two beloved girls, Migs turned and headed towards her service, her heart heavy yet resolute. Amara and Madie watched her go, their eyes following her until she was out of sight.
As the vehicle pulled away, Amara felt a wave of sadness and pride wash over her. She knew this mission was important to Migs, and she would support her no matter what. Holding Madie close, she whispered, "Kuya will be back soon, baby. And we'll be right here waiting for her."
Madie nodded, still sniffling, but comforted by Amara's words. Together, they stood at the gate, watching the road where Migs had disappeared, holding on to the hope and love that would see them through the coming year.
