As night approached, Migs messaged Amara, "Are you ready, pretty?"

Amara replied, "Yes, love," and quickly unsent it. Migs saw the message and smiled, replying, "I don't see it 'love'." She laughed softly.

When Migs arrived at Amara's place, she opened the car door for her. "You look so good, 'love'," she teased with a smile.

Amara playfully punched Migs' chest. "Ano ka ba, Migs."

Migs laughed. "Okay, chill." As they drove to Migs' place, Amara opened a topic. "Migs, what if you find someone in Cebu?"

Migs smiled at her. "Why would I find someone else there if you're here? I don't want anybody else, Amara. I want you, okay? I like you, Amara." She paused and then added, "No, Amara, I love you."

Amara smiled and replied, "Siguraduhin mo ha. Pag ako, Migs, nako lagot ka talaga sakin."

Migs raised her hand and said, "Promise po."

Amara smiled, feeling reassured by Migs' words.

As they arrived, Migs opened the door for Amara and took her hand. They walked inside together, and Migs saw many of her close friends and family. Migs' father approached her, saying, "There she is!" He introduced Migs to a top-ranking police officer. Migs gave a respectful salute.

The officer said, "Oh, this police officer is very respectful. I love this attitude."

Migs' father added, "And by the way, this is Migs' future wife."

Migs smiled and said, "Yes, sir, this is my future wife, sir."

The officer remarked, "Oh, pretty, huh?"

Amara wanted to say thank you, but Migs interjected, "Thank you, sir. I know she's so beautiful, sir. That's why I want to marry her, sir, and I want her to be the mother of my child."

The officer smiled and said, "Great police officer," tapping Migs on the shoulder. Amara smiled, blushing with pride, feeling honored and loved as Migs introduced her as her future wife.

As they proceeded to their table, Migs was visibly nervous. Amara, sensing her anxiety, gently held her hand and whispered, "Calm down, Migs. You can do it."

Migs looked at her with a mixture of doubt and hope. "Do you think?"

Amara nodded confidently. "Yes, baby, you can. I believe in you."

Feeling a rush of gratitude, Migs pulled Amara into a hug. "Thank you, ha."

Amara smiled warmly, her presence a soothing balm to Migs' nerves. "Always welcome, baby."

With Amara's reassurance, Migs felt a renewed sense of confidence and determination to face whatever lay ahead.

As Migs and Amara continued their conversation, Migs' father stood up, holding a glass of wine, and tapped it gently to get the crowd's attention. The room gradually quieted as everyone turned to listen.

"Hello, everyone. Thank you all for coming tonight," he began, his voice filled with warmth. "I would like to take a moment to say something to my daughter."

Migs looked up, her nerves momentarily forgotten as her father's familiar voice filled the room.

"Migs, I love you so much," her father continued, his eyes shining with pride and affection. "I know you seem nervous, haha, but don't worry, honey. It will be okay. Dad will be right by your side."

The crowd chuckled softly, sharing in the tender moment. Migs' father smiled and continued, "I remember when you were ten years old, you said you were excited to have a job and go on a mission. Well, this time, you have a mission, honey!" He laughed heartily, and the room joined in, lightening the mood.

"You’re going tomorrow, honey, so take care of yourself. Your sister and I will be waiting for you. And remember, you must be very careful because you still have to marry Amara," he added with a wink, causing a ripple of laughter and applause through the crowd.

Migs felt a mixture of embarrassment and joy. She glanced at Amara, who was beaming at her, pride evident in her eyes. Her father’s words gave her a renewed sense of determination and courage.

After the toast, people came up to congratulate Migs, offering their best wishes and words of encouragement. The evening continued with warmth and camaraderie, as everyone celebrated not just Migs' upcoming mission, but also the love and support that surrounded her.

As the night wore on, Migs felt more at ease, her father’s words and Amara’s unwavering support bolstering her spirits. She knew the road ahead would be challenging, but with the love and strength from her family and friends, she felt ready to face anything.

As the night wound down, Migs went to her room to prepare for her mission. Amara followed her, a look of sadness and determination on her face.

"Ma-mi-miss kita, Migs," Amara said softly.

Migs turned to her, a gentle smile on her lips. "Ako rin, Amara. Hintayin mo ako ha? Gagawa pa tayo ng baby natin," she said, winking playfully.

Amara couldn't help but smile through her tears. "I'll be waiting, Migs," she promised, wrapping her arms around Migs in a tight hug.

They held each other for a long moment, savoring the closeness before the separation.

As Migs and Amara were talking, Madie entered the room and said, "Hi Kuya Migs and Ate Amara."

Amara smiled and replied, "Hi, baby."

Migs turned to look at Madie. Madie looked down and said, "I'm sorry, Kuya, for saying those things to you. I'm really sorry."

Migs hugged her little sister tightly and said, "It's okay, baby. Kuya was wrong too."

Madie hugged her brother back, and Amara joined in, wrapping her arms around both of them. The three of them held each other in a warm, comforting embrace, finding solace and strength in their love and forgiveness.

As Madie started feeling sleepy, she asked her Kuya Migs, "Kuya, can I sleep with you tonight?"

Migs answered with a warm smile, "Yes, baby, you can."

Amara was about to go home when Madie asked her, "Ate Amara, can you sleep with us too?"

Amara hesitated and replied, "Sorry, baby, but—"

Migs interrupted, "Sige na, love. Isang gabi lang naman. Aalis na ako bukas, oh."

Amara sighed, "Wala akong pampalit dito, oh."

Migs walked to her closet and pulled out a set of pajamas, handing them to Amara. "Here, love. I bought these last month."

Amara smiled and agreed, changing into the pajamas. The three of them settled into bed, with Madie snugly in between Migs and Amara. They hugged each other, finding comfort in their closeness.

As they drifted off to sleep, the room was filled with a sense of peace and love, cherishing the last night they would have together before Migs left for her mission. The warmth of their embrace spoke volumes, promising that no matter the distance or challenges ahead, their bond would remain strong.
