Soohee's heart raced as she anxiously chewed her nails, her gaze flitting nervously between Bong and her brother.

Bong was carefully punching in her brother's number with a mischievous glint in her eyes. They were crouched behind a large cold pillar just out of sight but with a clear view of her brother who stood several meters away. He was scanning the area probably wondering why she hadn't come out yet.

The whole situation made Soohee's stomach churn with unease. A prank seemed fun in theory but now, with the reality of it sinking in, she couldn't shake the feeling that this was a terrible idea.

Her brother was never one to take jokes lightly especially when it involved being made a fool of. The thought of him finding out what they were planning made her feel sick.

"Bong Bong, I don't think this is a good idea," she whispered to her urgently. But Bong shot her a quick look clearly saying 'Just keep quiet'.

Soohee's protests died in her throat as she watched Bong press the call button. The phone's screen lit up as it began to dial. The anticipation built, creating a knot of excitement in Bong's chest.

1st beep....2nd beep....3rd beep...4th beep...the fifth ring finally ended with the sound of her brother's voice on the other end.

"Hello. Who's this?" His tone was calm still it made Soohee's blood run cold. She stared wide-eyed at Bong waiting to see what would happen next.

"Hello, darling." Bong's voice came through the phone in a pitch-perfect imitation of a sorrowful woman.

Soohee's eyes widened like a baseball in shock. Bong wasn't kidding when she bragged about her mimicry skills; the transformation in her voice was so convincing that even Soohee could barely recognize it as Bong's.

Bong raised a finger to her lips signaling Soohee to stay silent. Soohee quickly clasped her hands over her mouth stifling any gasp that might escape. She could feel her nerves coiling tighter with every passing second as they waited for her brother's response.

"Sorry, you've dialed the wrong number, miss." he said politely.

Bong had to stifle a laugh in order to keep herself from breaking the character.

"No baby, I know you're angry with me. I'm sorry. I'll never talk to other guys again."

While speaking she dared to peek out from behind the pillar. Soohee hesitated for a moment then followed Bong's lead, gingerly placing her chin on top of Bong's head to get a view of her brother.

Jungkook stood there with a clueless face. His brows were furrowed in a deep frown and his lips were pressed into a thin line as he processed the strange call. "Listen miss, this is a wrong number. I don't know you."

A wave of panic washed over Bong as she saw him begin to lower the phone from his ear and his fingers moving to end the call. She couldn't let him hang up just yet.

"Please, please listen to me! Come to 협정 Bakery Cafe or I'll kill myself!" She blurted out hastily in a last ditch effort.

With that, Bong abruptly ended the call as she took a deep breath leaning back against the pillar. Soohee stared at her in confusion and concern. Bong could feel Soohee's gaze into the side of her head and eventually turned to give her a side-eye.

"What are you waiting for? Go and do your part now," Bong whispered nudging Soohee with her elbow.

Soohee pressed herself tightly against the cold surface of the pillar as she tried to stay hidden. She dared not move. Bong, however, had other plans. With a mischievous grin, she forcefully shoved Soohee catching her completely off guard.

Soohee gasped as she was suddenly pushed out from behind her hiding spot. She stumbled forward, her feet scrambling to find balance. The world tilted for a moment as she fought to regain her footing, her arms flailing slightly before she managed to steady herself. Her eyes darted back towards the pillar but it was too late. Her cover was blown.

Jungkook had already spotted her.

"Soohee!" The sound of her name made Soohee's entire body freeze in place. Her shoulders tensed and she squeezed her eyes shut, inwardly groaning.

Why had she ever agreed to this ridiculous plan?

When she opened her eyes, she saw Bong still lurking by the pillar, waving her hands wildly that clearly said 'Go'.

Soohee sighed deeply, cursing her own foolishness. Why had she thought this would be a good idea?

With a resigned smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, Soohee turned to face Jungkook. "Jungkook-shi." Slinging her bag more securely over her shoulder, she began to jog towards him.

Jungkook's expression shifted immediately as he saw her running. He took a hasty step forward. "Soohee, don't run with such a heavy bag! You'll fall down!"

If Bong had been close enough to hear, Soohee was certain she would have rolled her eyes at his elderly brother instances. She slowed her pace not wanting to cause him worry and finally came to a stop in front of him, slightly out of breath.

"I'm fine, really." Soohee assured him, adjusting the strap of her bag as she looked up at him.

"Yes, you are fine but still be careful. And why are you so late?"

Soohee hesitated for a moment, her eyes shifting slightly as she tried to think of a reasonable explanation. She nervously scratched her cheek. "Well, you know Bong... she and I wanted to go to café."

"Yaa, I know, and I refused clearly. You both can't go there alone."

Soohee bit her lip nodding slowly. "Yes, I remember... but like Bong was saying... if y-you could take us there?" Her voice trailed off as she finished the sentence, her eyes cautiously watching Jungkook's reaction.

She knew what was coming.

Jungkook tilted his head slightly, his sharp eyes narrowing as he studied her. She knew he was about to refuse. He was going to say no and there was nothing she could do to change his mind.

"That café is quite far."

Soohee's heart sank slightly. There it was-the indirect refusal.

Soohee was about to give up. Her shoulders were beginning to slump in resignation but thankfully, at that moment, Bong popped out from somewhere.

"협정 Bakery Café is not that far."

"협정 Bakery Café?"
