┊❝ She isn't yours ❞┊

── EXITING the art room with Sawyer beside her to meet Shariah and the other two girls known as Kira and Alina that Sawyer mentions, (Y/N) felt nothing but anxiety spike whilst her nerves thrummed with apprehension. Already, she could feel a sense of unease creeping within the back of her mind that made her want to do anything she could to hide, already imagining what Ian and Dylan would do to her once they saw her.

"Hey," Shariah greeted (Y/N), pulling away from a girl to give (Y/N) a tight hug that she wasn't expecting, "I'm glad... to see you."

Letting go of (Y/N), she smiled.

"Babe," the girl who had been holding Shariah's hand spoke up. "You gonna introduce us?"

"Right!" Shariah chuckled as she fully let go of (Y/N) to step back towards the two girls, gesturing towards them with her hand, an action that made her bracelets jangle. "(Y/N), this is Alina, my girlfriend, and this is Kira, her sister. If you can't already tell, they're twins, but they're entirely different, so don't let appearances fool you."

"Hi," (Y/N) greeted shyly, taking that time to observe both girls.

As Shariah already told her, they were twins, but they were different enough that she was able to tell which was which from just a glance. Alina was the tallest of the sisters, her body lean and willowy which accentuated her more narrow face. She possessed light brown skin that paired well with her straight dark hair and dark eyes, her expression relaxed as she leaned against Shariah. Her sister, Kira, wore a brighter smile. She had the same light brown skin, however her dark hair was a bit curlier than her sister's while her eyes were a vivid emerald green that took (Y/N)'s breath away. The commonality between the two sisters was the small red dot in the middle of their foreheads, a bindi design, that suggested Hindu, Buddhist, or Jain affiliation.

(Y/N), as she looked between the two sisters, could feel her heart swelling with hope for something more—for the friendship of a group that she had been wanting ever since Dylan and Ian.

It was enough to leave her tearing up.

"Oh, shit," Kira blinked as she panicked over what to do with the crying girl in front of her. "Um... what happened? Did we do something stupid again? Oh, uh... please don't cry. I really suck at trying to comfort people, okay?"

"(Y/N)?" Sawyer placed a hand on her shoulder. "What's wrong? Is this... too much?"

"No, it's fine," she sniffed, quickly wiping away her tears. "It's just... you guys doing all of this just to help me... it makes me happy."

"Wait," Kira spoke. "Seriously?"

"Yeah..."

As (Y/N) finished wiping at her eyes, she didn't notice the glances exchanged between Sawyer, Shariah, Alina, and Kira. All were thinking the same thing: they needed to protect this girl who had been through so much. No, they would protect her from anything else or whoever else would try to hurt her, feeling nothing but sympathy and empathy brimming within their hearts. If anything, admiration, too, from how resilient (Y/N) had been, something that all the more allowed them to embrace her as one of them.

Unfortunately, as fate would have it, such a sweet moment was cut too short.

"(Y/N)," a cold voice proclaimed from behind them, the girl's eyes widening at the sound. "What the fuck are you doing with them?"

Turning, (Y/N) saw Dylan and Ian walking down the hall towards her, both dragging two boys behind them by their hair without a care as to who saw. A rather unhinged smile seemed to cross Dylan's lips the longer he stared at her, stopping only a few feet in front of her before throwing the boy he had been dragging at her feet. Ian did the same not too long after, watching with unbridled disgust as the two boys groaned in pain.

"What the hell is this?" Sawyer scowled as he unconsciously stepped forward and in front of (Y/N) as if to shield her from the two.

"Hm? These two?" Ian scoffed as if the answer should have been obvious, looking down on Sawyer as if he were nothing more than a maggot. "If you must know, after we went to (Y/N)'s house yesterday, we overheard that these disgusting things were planning to do rather... unsavory things to her. As you can imagine, Dylan and I weren't inclined to let something like that go."

(Y/N) stepped back, horrified.

Staring down at the two boys on the ground, all she felt were bugs crawling on her skin.

They... were planning to rape me!?

"We were going to give these loathsome fucks half-dead to you as a present, (Y/N)," Dylan continued as he stepped forward, his eyes narrowing in vehemence upon Sawyer merely standing in between them once more. "Yet here you are, conversing with them. I'm disappointed."

"Better than you," Kira snapped.

"I don't believe so," Dylan thundered, his entire expression twitching with displeasure as his gaze shifted back to (Y/N). "(Y/N)... you know what will happen if you walk away with them, don't you? You remember the pictures? The video? You remember what you told us last night, don't you?" The longer he spoke, the more it was obvious his words were affecting her, his eyes glinting with pure mania as he gripped her shoulders, continuing, "You're mine. Don't think you can leave so easily."

"Fucking hell, let her go!" Sawyer shoved Dylan away, successfully removing (Y/N) from his grasp and wrapping a protective arm around her shoulder. "She isn't yours. And she never will be."

With that, the group swept away with (Y/N) with them, not once looking back.

Dylan and Ian stood there.

Dylan's face showed only rage.

Ian's showed a calculative coldness.

However, both boys felt nothing but burning need to get (Y/N) back, and they knew they would stop at nothing until they did.
