As I walked to the front door, my hands shook uncontrollably. I hadn't been this nervous since my university interview, and I was not an anxious person. Jack put our suitcases down in front of the door and rung the door bell, lacing his fingers through mine.

"It'll be fine" he whispered, planting a soft kiss on my lips, just as the door opened.

I hastily pulled away and blushing, looked up at a blonde, stunning, middle aged woman. She had to be Jack's mother. Jack, his eyes shining with joy, confirmed this by pulling her into his strong embrace.

"Jack, careful love you'll break me!" She said laughing along with her son.

"And this must be the lovely Alexandra" She added, turning to me.

I nodded, shaking her hand.

"Thank you for having me Mrs. Harries" I said. She smiled and whispered

"You can call me Rebecca", I returned the grin and breathed a sigh of relief.

Jack picked up our suitcases and ushered me into the house, I followed obediently.

"Where's Emmy?" He asked his mum,

"She's at a friend's, but she'll be back soon!" She replied

Jack nodded his head. I then heard an almighty roar, as a bundle of muscular arms, golden hair and a plaid shirt launched itself onto my boyfriend.

I yelped, taking a step back and unfortunately falling on my rear as the other Harries twin came into view. He had Jack in a headlock, fondly messing up his hair. As he looked up at me, he paused and then began to blush.

"Er… You must be Alexandra", he said, smiling sheepishly as Jack offered a hand to help me up, pulling me to his side. I winced and nodded, amused at the sight of the two boys looking incredibly embarrassed.

"Apologies for my clumsiness, you must be Finn, right?" He chuckled and nodded, eyes glinting mischievously.

"Pleased to meet you", he said.

"Well, I'll let you two get back to your reunion" I said smiling.

"I'll take you to your room, dear" Rebecca said, leading me through the hallway and up the stairs. She opened the door to a cosy, beautifully decorated room. It had a four poster bed on one side, a few cupboards and a desk. The walls were a lovely cream color, and although it was small, it felt welcoming and comfortable.

"This is lovely, thank you so much!" I exclaimed.

"It was no problem at all, dinner's at 7:30, so you have an hour or so to freshen up! Also, Finn can get a bit carried away as you saw, but he doesn't mean any harm" She said, chuckling to herself. I smiled and replied, thanking her once again.

I went over to the bed and sat down, my neck still sore from the drive up. Jack's family seemed lovely so far, and I'm sure my lack of grace had impressed them incredibly. Beginning to unpack my suitcase, I thought of how Jack and I had first met, a smile coming to my lips as I remembered how he had changed my life in the most amazing way, thought it hadn't begun as sweetly as I had hoped.

Music pulsated through the air, as bodies slick with sweat moulded to and fro with the beat. I felt a hand snake its way around my waist, a muscular body moving in sync with mine. I hadn't felt like this in a long, long time. I could feel the beat flowing around me, the fiery liquid burnt my veins and blurred my senses as I continued to dance, laughter erupting from my red lips. The grip around my waist tightened, as I felt a smooth voice in my ear,

"Let's go upstairs' it said, urging me on. I shook my head, wanting to stay and dance. As I tried to move away, something pulled on my arm, jerking me back.

"Come on baby, don't be a tease" the voice added. I turned around, finding a muscular chest and icy blue eyes staring down at me as I pushed away. He once again wrenched me back, putting his hand over my mouth. Although my senses had dulled, I refused to be a damsel in distress, bringing my knee up right to where it hurt. He groaned in pain, kneeling over, before straightening up to hit me across the face. I gasped, my cheek stinging with fresh, burning hot pain.

"Did your mother not tell you hitting girls is impolite?" I heard a silky voice behind me say as I heard a deafening crunch and a sea of red across his face. He stumbled back, before being kicked in the chest and hitting the floor, hand still clutching his gushing nose. By now, the music had stopped and people stood around, drinks in hand, horrified expressions. I saw two bouncers approaching, ushering my saviour and I through the doors and into the crisp night. I whirled around, livid, to find myself staring into a pair of emerald eyes which shone among the dim street lights.

"Who the hell are you?" I demanded, eyes burning into the forest green ones in front of me. He smirked, pushing his chocolate hair away from his face.

"A simple 'thank you' would suffice" He replied coolly, walking away. I grabbed him by the hand, turning him to face me.

"I was handling it in there, before you had to turn around and play the hero.' I declared, voice dripping with malice. He sighed and turned to look at me, caressing my cheek.

"That sounded like it hurt," He said gently, his cool hand soothed the burning pain that still raged, and I softened slightly.

"Whatever, thank you I guess. You still got us kicked out of the club though" I muttered, folding my arms across my chest. He chuckled, green eyes twinkling.

"Come on, let's get you home" He added plainly, as I sighed and began to lead the way.

That had been our 'meet-cute' if you will, though I'm not sure how cute it was. I had grown used to fighting my own battles, and taking care of myself, but he had reminded me that I didn't have to be alone. The next day, he was nothing more than a dream of sorts, but I heard a knock on my door halfway through the morning, to find him standing with a packet of paracetamol and a coffee. I had been apprehensive at first, but Jack continued to push my doubts away, and before I knew it,  I had fallen for him.
