After the shower episode, Jack and I got dressed hurriedly and went down for breakfast, no doubt starving after what had just happened. I greeted his mum and dad, making my way around the table.

Next, I heard heavy footsteps coming downstairs and through the kitchen door came Finn with Emmy on his shoulders. She jumped off and ran to give me a hug, completely ignoring Jack who looked at us laughing and then went to talk to his father. I decided instead of sitting around I'd go and help Rebecca with breakfast, she was making pancakes and I assisted her gladly. Although Jack was still apprehensive about me in the kitchen, breakfast was my speciality and I wasn't about to let him stop me.

"Jack, Alexandra is brilliant at cooking! We might have to give you away and keep her instead" Rebecca said with glee.  Jack looked at me, quirking his eyebrow up.

"Is she now? Because in my experience, whenever she's in the kitchen it ends up like an episode of casualty" He replied, grinning at me. I smacked him playfully as everyone laughed and began to tuck in with an occasional sound of satisfaction or compliment on the pancakes. Jack intertwined my hand with his under the table, caressing it with his thumb in a circular motion. I looked up at him, giving him a small smile.

"So, Alexandra, what are you studying right now? Jack's told us quite a bit about you, but it mainly focused on how beautiful you are." Jack's dad said, looking up at me. I turned to look at Jack who was biting his lip and had a faint blush forming atop his cheekbones. I nudged him and laughed before replying,

"I'm studying history with a year abroad right now, it's a brilliant course because I get to travel while learning about something that I love" I said, smiling at his dad, who looked quite impressed.

"That sounds fantastic! So when do you plan on doing your year abroad? And where do you think it would be?" He added. I had begun to relax in the conversation, Jack's father's friendliness putting me at ease.

"Well I'll have to do my year abroad in the next term, and I was planning on going to Russia. They gave us three choices out of Italy, France and Russia, but I especially love Russian history so going there would be an amazing experience for me." I replied excitedly, as Jack's father nodded in approval and smiled. I felt Jack stiffen slightly next to me but ignored the feeling that something was wrong.

"Right, I have to take Emmy to get a new bag for school next year because she's managed to break yet another one," Rebecca said, shaking her head at Emmy who grinned in return. Both of them then said their goodbyes and got up to leave. Not long after, Jack cleared his throat and got up,

"Dad, didn't you want to talk to me?" He asked, looking at his father intently, who then got up and nodded as both excused themselves from breakfast. Leaving just Finn and I.

"I guess you'll have to help me clean up" He said, looking me up and down and smirking. I suddenly began to feel  incredibly self conscious, crossing my arms over my chest and nodding.

"I guess so" I replied, beginning to collect the dishes. I turned around and Finn was still staring at me, emerald eyes looking intently into mine. He had a fire in his eyes, which unnerved me, unlike Jack, whose were warm and soft, making me feel safe.

"Well are you going to help or what?" I said inquisitively, trying to calm my nerves, as Finn set me more on edge. He laughed and took the plates from my hands.

"I'll wash and you dry" he said. I nodded in agreement and gave him the rest of the plates.

"So, how did you meet Jack?" He turned and asked me. His question took me back to the night of the club, not wanting to relive it, I replied,

"Um, at a club" I mumbled. He nodded, not taking the conversation any further and leaving an awkward silence between us. You're living with him for the next month, stop being so goddamn nervous and just talk to him, the more forthcoming side of my conscious urged. I groaned inwardly, before asking

"What about you," as casually as possible, "do you have a girlfriend?" He looked at me as if I had grown an extra limb and shook his head, laughing.

"I prefer being single, relationships are a lot of work" He replied

"Not if you're with the right person," I challenged, crossing my arms across my chest. He raised his eyebrow at me smirking,

"A bit of a romantic, are we?" He asked. I felt my cheeks get hotter but I stood my ground. He put the dishes down, walking towards me. "Is Jack the "right person"?" He added, smirking, face inches away from mine, as I felt his cool breath over my cheekbones, sending shivers down my spine. I nodded resolutely, taking a large step back and…

Falling on my ass. Surprise surprise. His eyes widened before he doubled over in laughter. I scowled as he reached out a hand to help me, and pulled me up. Grimacing, my conscience congratulated me on publicly humiliating myself twice in a span of 24 hours. Finn leant against the sink, inspecting me with a slight smile on his face.

"You're very graceful aren't you?" He asked, grinning mischievously. I huffed and turned around, clearing the rest of the table as he laughed.

Finishing the dishes, he dried his hands on the towel and turned to look at me. He stared with his head cocked to the side, signature smirk plastered across his face.

"What?" I asked, not enjoying being stared at like a piece of meat. He walked closer to me for the second time, face inches from mine. The boy clearly had not grasped the concept of personal space, as I attempted to step back, before realizing he had me trapped in front of the table. My heart raced as he came closer, I could hear it pounding in my ears and wondered if he could too. I had never felt like this around anyone, short of breath, like I was going to faint.

"You have a little something there" He said, pointing at the corner of my lips. He reached his hand towards my face, reaching for my lips. In an instant, his detached facade snapped back into place as he jerked his hand back.

"I, -uh I should go" He exclaimed nervously. As I watched him walk away, I realised that I had wanted him to touch my face, my lips. Shuddering at the horrific thoughts that were poisoning my mind, I went to get a glass of water to clear my head. Finn was bad news, there was no doubt about it. No person in their right mind was that openly flirtatious, especially with their brother's girlfriend. I made up my mind to stay as far away from him as possible, surely he meant trouble.

How I was going to survive a month in the same house as him, I had no clue.
