As Finn and I trudged down the street to get to the train station, I wondered what it would have been like to fall in love with the other Harries brother. I knew they were twins, but they were so entirely different that it startled me, like the sun and the moon. Jack was the mellow one, the one who would always make you feel comfortable and safe, the sun that never changes shape. Finn, on the other hand, was elusive, mysterious, the dark side of the moon. I knew I shouldn't have been spending time with him, my feelings would only grow, but I couldn't help it, I was so drawn to him that it was almost impossible to ignore.

"So... you like Fitzgerald?" Finn asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I was confused for a moment, but then remembered that he had been reading my book when I got out of the shower.

"Oh, yeah... It sounds stupid but he writes so honestly. The Great Gatsby was a little extravagant, but he writes about emotions that we're embarassed to express sometimes, you know?" I replied, the words gushing out before I stopped myself. He looked up, surprised.

"What?" I said, suddenly feeling self conscious. He shook his head and smiled,

"I don't think I've ever heard a girl be that insightful about an author. All of the girls I'm friends with probably don't even know who he is." He replied. I blushed and looked down.

"Well in all honesty I didn't take you for the type who read either," I said, laughing a little.

"I'm full of surprises Alexandra, you could borrow some of my books sometime, if you want." He answered, looking a little embarassed.

"That would be really nice, thanks" I said, smiling.

We got to the tube station and looked for the train timings,

"Shit that one leaves in 2 minutes!" Finn exclaimed, grabbing my hand and beginning to run towards the platform. We sprinted past people, careful not to knock anyone over, and unsuccessfully bumping into a rather unforgiving older gentleman. Laughing like kids, we finally got to the train, Finn pulling me in at the last minute as I leaned against him to regain my breath.

"Oh my gosh, that's the fastest I've sprinted in years" I said between breaths and bursts of hysteria.

"Did you see his face though? I thought he was going to smack us with his umbrella" Finn replied, his olive eyes lighting up with laughter. After finally calming down, and getting our breaht back, we walked through the train to find a seat.

"I can tell that this is going to be an exciting day from the way it started out" Finn said, smirking at me.

"I hope so" I replied, chuckling. Underneath, however, I was nervous for the 45 minute long journey that awaited. A journey that I had to spend with Finn Harries, whose literary knowledge and jade eyes had managed to mesmerise me in a way that his brother somehow had not.

"So Alexandra, it would be a pleasure to know what else you enjoy reading." Finn said, looking up at me, his green eyes piercingly curious.

"It's a bit strange, compared to Fitzgerald but I enjoy a lot of science fiction" I replied, blushing a little over my unusual fondness of dystopian novels.

"Strange, but in a good way. Go on, what have you read?" He inquired, looking intrigued.

"I love Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I mean, imagine a society where books are outlawed. With the savages in the world now, I'm scared the day isn't too far off. Books have this power that nothing else has, we read words and scratchings on paper and we're able to imagine something in our minds, something that can make us cry and laugh and feel so many things. It sounds cliche but it does have the power to bring people together." I ramble, not realising who I'm speaking to anymore, just sort of getting caught up in my own world. Until I see Finn looking at me with fascination, his eyes bright.

"That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong." He quotes, emerald eyes burning into mine with a passion thats unfamiliar to me.

"Fitzgerald" I breathe. "No one's ever quoted Fitzgerald to me," I continue, smiling.

"Well I'm honoured to be the first, Alexandra" He replies.

"Stop calling me that! I hate it, my father's the only person that calls me Alexandra, it doesn't suit me at all."

"I think it fits. King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy had a daughter called Alexandra, she was very beautiful, like you." I blush again, covering my cheeks to hide the pink that he manages to summon.

"Yes, but she was supposed to be insane, are you suggesting something?" I say, grinning.

"Hm maybe I am..." He laughs, as I playfully smack his shoulder as an elderly woman turns to us from the seat in front.

"Excuse me, but I couldn't help but overhear your conversation earlier. I just wanted to say how nice it is to hear that young people still read, I had almost lost faith in the intellect of this generation. You both make a lovely couple and I hope he continues to quote Fitzgerald to you" She said, looking at Finn and winking.

"Oh thank you but we're not--" I began before Finn interrupted me,

"Thank you very much, and yes, I'll continue to quote Fitzgerald to her, always." He replied, before turning around to smirk at me. The woman smiled and continued reading her own book.

"What was that?" I hissed, "we discussed this already. Nothing can ever happen between us, I don't feel anything for you, and please keep in mind that I'm with your brother!" I whispered angrily.

"Oh calm down, I was just thanking the poor woman, don't get into a strop" He said, rolling his eyes. I sighed and turned around, facing the window. Feeling guilty, I realised that part of me had wanted us to be a real couple. Him quoting Fitzgerald had made my attraction grow a little more, and it didn't seem like it was going to stop anytime soon.
