Seojoon's POV

Ever since that day, I started envying hyunjin. Even though it wasn't his mistake, his success made me feel useless.

But I never lashed out on him or anything, I just silently cursed at him. I realized, he was the mistake in my life, because of him, my life was shattering into pieces.

I decided if I don't do anything about this, the next time if I rank 2nd in my class, then I'm sure that my parents will abandon me.

Next day in school I walked up to hyunjin with a plan inside my head.

"Sup, Hwang"

Hyunjin: Yah I told you not to call me by my last name, I hate it.  He said without looking at me.

I fake laughed.

"Congrats on coming first"

Hyunjin: Thanks, heyy.... wait a minute, whats that scar on your eye?!?!  He said while looking up at me.

"Oh, I uh... nothing so important"

Hyunjin: Nothing important?! Seojoon do you realize that you literally have a huge bloody scar printed on your eye?! It wasn't there yesterday!!!

"Well, it's just that someone threw a piece of glass at me"

Shit I was not supposed to say that.

Hyunjin: And who is that SOMEONE?

"Just a bully"

Hyunjin: Who's he? Where does he live? Tell me his name-

"Bro chill, it'll heal eventually. And plus my mom and dad took care of that bully later anyways."

Hyunjin: Good.

"I was saying, my parents weren't convinced by my results, so to make them happy, I need your help"

Hyunjin: Go ahead, I'm listening.

"Can you try bringing a little less marks this time? I mean, it won't hurt if you rank second right?"

Hyunjin: So you are telling me that I should study less purposefully so that you can get better than me?

I nodded.

Hyunjin: Sorry, but that's not happening my friend. I can't put down my studies like that.

"It's just this one time, and I never told you to fail, its just you getting ranked 2nd"

Hyunjin: Seojoon, if I step down once, I'll keep going down, and right now I want to maintain this image of mine.

"I'll give you money for it"

Hyunjin scoffed,

Hyunjin: Are you trying to bribe me for this? Seojoon, we've been good friends for about 8 years now, you are supposed to support me instead of trying to put me down by bribing me.

"I'm not bribing you, I would never do that! I just requested you to try bringing less marks this one time!"

Hyunjin: Why? So that you can get better than me? No thanks, if our friendship was all just about trying to be "better" than each other, then this ends here.

Saying that, he stormed away. That was the day when I started hating him to the CORE of my heart.

Since then we lost contact with each other. A month later, we heard the news of his parent's death and since then he was transferred to an orphanage.

This was an opportunity for me to be ranked first in school cause hyunjin was out of the way... and eventually, I DID rank first. It continued for the rest of the year.

A year later, I found out that hyunjin had escaped the orphanage and traveled to australia all by HIMSELF creating his own passport.

The reason was because he got accused of killing someone in the orphanage he dearly loved because of his cursed backstory. Eventually, he was sick of getting beaten up every day and then he escaped the place.

I started getting even better at studies, with hyunjin out of my way. I ranked No 1 in the WHOLE city. I was enjoying the fame I was getting at that moment, but that only did last for a few months until that day arrived, when I too, had to shift to Australia due to my parent's job.

Luckily, we didn't shift to any area in which hyunjin lives, and I didn't encounter him ever.

But one thing got bad, my education. I started dropping low in education, lower than ever.

The way they taught us in Australia was way different from what I learnt back in Korea. The teaching methods confused me and I couldn't solve a single problem. My parents started abusing like they did before and it kept getting worse.

I was sick of trying again and again and then failing repeatedly, so I decided to take the easier route, which was: doing the unacceptable.

I decided that now I have to cross my lines so that I can get through this phase. I was fed up of getting hurt repeatedly. So i did the unthinkable: murdering my own parents.

No need to be surprised, they didn't deserve to live either ways, if they had to just abuse "their" child to death, then I might as well get rid of them, and so I did. In the middle of the night, I stabbed them to death and reported the police acting all innocent and guess what? Up till this day, they never caught the culprit behind this case.

I completely changed from that day onwards, I basically ruled the school with my new attitude.

And that's how I met Yazlyn Bahng aka the topper of that school. She was a weak girl, so she was an easy target to threaten. And i needed a topper so that I can get good marks. Since then on, for my "baddass" vibe, I gained alot of friends and gained popularity.

I could just bully anyone in this school, cause I had the power.
And yeona was my main target. I demanded her to complete me and my other 9 boy's assignments, and she would do it right away. She was so scared of me, that she never complained about this to anyone, cause she knew if she would, she would be in a HUGE trouble.

And then one day, god knows what snapped into her, she started to fight back on me and refused to listen to my orders. I lost it, and I had to take revenge, and so I did.

I r@ped her, a thing which she deserves for talking back to me like that. But since then, she left that school too.

After she left, I just gave up on my studies. I left the school and lived by myself as a serial killer in disguise just at the age of 15.

I was officially done being that old me who ran behind everyone to satisfy their needs while sacrificing mine. The only person I need to please now is me, and only me.

A/N : Yo people! A long chapter, aint it? But I wrote this as I promised. A typical villain backstory, right? Yea ik but please vote on this story cause yall have no idea how much time it took me to brainstorm this idea.

And lemme tell ya one thing, the part where hyunjin actually knew seojoon wasn't even planned! I just had this idea in my mind and BOOM! There it goes, the whole story took a new turn, but I hope you liked it. It took me so much hardwork in this ch, especially matching the timelines, so pls vote (begging for votes after a long time)
