When Alex awoke the next morning, she noticed the arm draped around her. Memories of the night before flashed into her mind, and she let out a sigh of contentment. She slowly turns around to face Elijah, only to notice that he's already awake and looking at her.

"How long have you been awake?" She smiles, looking up at him.

"Not long." He muses, propping himself up with his arm to hover over the top of her. He moves in close to her, almost as if he was going to kiss her. He leans in, but they hear the door to his room swing open.

"God no, i had to listen to that last night, not again this morning." The voice of Rebekah Mikaelson interrupts them. "I'm happy you're... whatever you are, but every vampire in this house doesn't need to hear it."

Alex's face heats up, turning red when she remembers that both Klaus and Rebekah would have been home last night. Alex quickly whisks herself away into the bathroom to get dressed and then reappears in front of the two siblings. "I'm going to.. head off." She says to the two. "Uh, yeah." She says awkwardly into the silence; she looks over to Elijah and gives him a small smile. "I'll see you later?" He gives her a nod, and she turns to Rebekah.

"It's nice to see you with more humanity. We should hang out more. I'll be in touch." Rebekah tells her, and Alex gives her a soft smile as she speeds out of the room. "You and the hybrid?"

"Rebekah." He starts with a sigh, but she cuts him off.

"It's not a complaint. She's a lot better than.. well, all of your other partners." She remarks, and he rolls his eyes. "Plus, her humanity is back; she isn't going after your family. She saved all of us yesterday. That's someone who you should keep near you. Well, that's until Nik grows tired of her and then chooses to kill her." She mutters the last part, and Elijah glares at his sister; the implication was not something he was willing to accept, but it did sound like his brother.

"It's not like that. She's leaving to go back home soon anyways." Elijah disagrees.

"Seriously? You're an imbecile, you know that?" Rebekah retorts. "You're both vampires who will live for an incredibly long time. Yes, she's going back home, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have the rest of eternity not living at home." She ends her rants and frowns at him "Why don't you go with her?"

"Go with her?" Elijah frowns. "You and I both know I can't do that." He disagrees, knowing that Klaus would never allow it.

"You won't know until you go." She shrugs, leaving the room and leaving Elijah with a question on his mind. Should he go with her?

When Alex was on her way back to her apartment, she stopped after receiving a phone call from Damon.

"Hey! Heard you turned mother Bennett. Good thinking." Damon's voice says over the phone.

"Do you have anything else to say?" She questions with a sigh.

"Hey, don't use that tone with me. I was going to do it, but you beat me to the punch; you saved me a job. Anyways, Ric has been arrested; you might want to get down here."

"he's what?" Alex shouts. "What for?"

"Well, remember on your humanity-less binge how there were a couple of murders? Sexy Doctor told the Sheriff it was him because he came at her with a knife." Damon reveals.

"I'll be there in a second," Alex sighs, heading toward the police station. She walks up to the front and watches as the Mayor and the Sheriff shout at each other.

'The mystery is not going to get solved any faster with you yelling at me, Carol.'
'We have two council members and an attempted murder on our hands. If you have a suspect, it is your duty to keep me in the loop.'
'No, it's my duty to make sure I don't accuse an innocent person of being a serial killer'
'Just tell me who it is, Liz.'
