Chapter 31 - Finally confessed!!

The next morning Vivaan picked up Avni as promised and dropped her at her college and promised to pick her up in the evening. But due to some urgent meeting, he was stuck. He messaged Avni to wait for him as she will be leaving the next day and he wants to confess to her before that. He was very nervous but also determined to not let this opportunity go.

Vivaan messaged Avni to meet him at the nearby garden as he remembered her wish which she expressed at the time of Playing hotseat.

I want my proposal to be at a beautiful garden where I can dance under flowers just like it is shown in films. And yes, a bouquet of roses is a must.

Avni was sitting on the bench in the garden waiting for him. She was getting bored and hence picked up the rose laying on the ground in front of her.

Avni, caressing the rose - See how he is making me wait.

She says pointing cutely.

Avni - But I will wait for him. Mai kal chali jaugi, usse pehle I want to see him once. Uske baad toh direct dii ke shaadi mai hi milna hoga. Mujhe usse batana hai ke I love him, but I am scared. I don't know what he feels for me. Will he scold me? Or will he break our friendship? Will you help me?

She asks the rose and starts plucking the petals of the flower one by one saying 'He loves me' and then another saying 'He loves me not'

She continues till the last petals.

He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not,...........he loves me, he loves me not.

She sighs plucking the last petal. But she is startled to hear someone from behind.

Vivaan - He loves you stupid.

He said standing behind with a bouquet of roses and smiling like an idiot.

He was coming here to tell her that only, but was very nervous as he was clueless about her reaction, but hearing her blabbering, he was just.....shocked, happy, relaxed, surprised.....and what not. He was really smiling like a mad man hearing her confession.

He comes towards Avni who stilled at her place and forwarded her the rose bouquet.

Vivaan - I came here preparing a long speech, but your eyes stole all my words. I love you Avni. I know I am late, but trust me our forever will start now. I want to dedicate my everyday to bring you joy. I want to be your happily ever after. I love you Avni!!!

Avni had tears in her eyes hearing his confession. That was what she was waiting for, from always. Her happiness knew no bound. She jumped onto him and hugged him sooooo tightly while blabbering,

Avni - You love me? Thank you Vivaan! I love you tooo. I love you to the moon and back. I love you Viv! I have always loved you. I loved you from the first day of college itself.

Vivaan is shocked. He back off and asks her with his shocked expression,

Vivaan - You loved me from then?

She nods smiling brightly.

Vivaan - Then why you never confessed?

He asked being confused.

Avni - Because at first I thought you are just my infatuation but then after knowing you and after spending some time with you, I was confirmed that I really love you. But you, you didn't loved me. I was only friend for you, wasn't I?

She scoffed.

Vivaan caresses his hairs lightly.

Vivaan - Actually you were not. I loved you but I was soo stupid that I never realised my feelings. Agar hum Vrindavan mai firse nahi milte, toh shayad mai kabhi samjh hi nahi pata ke mai tumse pyaar karta hu. Tumhare smile mere dhakane badha deti hai. Your cute face makes me happy. You always cared for me. But mujhe iska ehsaas uss mashroom incident ke baad hua. Aur uss din, hotseat game ke time, tab tumne bola tha ke you have crush on someone, tab toh mujhe aaisa lag raha tha ke usko jakar crush kar du.

He says grinding his own hand with other making her laugh.

Avni - Aapne aap ko kaise crush karoge Viv....

Vivaan - You mean ke mai hi vo crush hu?

Avni - Haa buddhu.

She says flicking his head lightly.

But hearing that he was sooo happy that he lifts Avni up and twirls them around.

Avni squeal - Ahh Viv, yeh kya kar rahe ho? Mai gir jaugi! Mujhe niche utharo.

But the next moment, rain starts. Not the rain of water, but of flowers as wished by Avni.

Vivaan, smiling - Enjoy the rain of roses my Rose.

And she enjoys her dream by opening her arms while still being in Vivaan's arm.

This is the start of their story. Though they are childish, they are immature, they aren't responsible, but yet, they love each other. They might not be able to understand each and every thing about relationships, but surely they will do everything to make the other one happy. They might not be able to handle every situation perfectly, but their hearts are in the right place, with the other one.
