"WELL AREN'T YOU A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES." Zadie smirked when she saw the duel haired boy slurping on cold soba with a blank expression.
"Hello Zadie." He replied smugly,
"Don't 'Hello Zadie' me! I know you saw my texts!" She sat her tray of food down and sat across from him,
"I did. I chose not to reply."
"Yeah, and you're an ass for it. Leaving me on read, how could you? The pain, the agony!"
"I'm sorry I've caused you hurt, it wasn't my intention." Zadie raised her brows at him, "Oh you were being dramatic. In that case, I'm not sorry."
"We're supposed to Sho and Zae against the world, not Sho leaves Zae on read! It's S plus Z till it's backwards!" She whined, "What shall be thou punishment?"
"Anything but my soba."
"SOBA IT IS!" She reached over and snatched the cup of noodles out of his hands then messily slurped half of it before giving it back.
"We're not friends anymore." He said looking down at the almost empty cup,
"Awe, cute of you to think you can get rid of me that easily." She blew a kiss in his direction, he caught it and walked over the trash can before throwing it away.
"How could you?!" She gasped when he sat down,
"Easy. I grabbed the air and pretended I was throwing something away."
"You did throw something away! My love!"
"Was it in the air? Is it Valentine's Day already?"
Her dramatic act came to an end at his words, she pinched the bridge of her nose and drawled out a long sigh. "I'm praying for you, Shoto. Truly."
"Uh, thanks? Oh, Endeavor's been asking about you. He's fo-"
"He's fond of me, yeah I know. We both know he just wants to make me your wife." She rolled her eyes, leaning back in her chair as she sucked her teeth.
Shoto let out a chuckle, a small rare smile found its way onto his lips. "He does, doesn't he?" He asked, obviously only realizing now that she had mentioned it. "He kept pestering me about when you'd be visiting again, it got so annoying that I to buy noise cancelling headphones."
"It's too bad you're gay, I'd make a bomb ass wife."
"Why would you want to be a bomb?"
"Again, I'll be praying for you."
"That was an expression, wasn't it?" Zadie nodded, "Should I make a snarky comeback?" He asked,
"Go for it." She shrugged,
"We both know your husband would divorce you because of how annoying you are." Zadie could've flinched at his words. Annoying. Was she annoying? No, scratch that, she knew she was annoying. But did she annoy Shoto? He was supposed to be the person who didn't mind her antics, who loved her for her. She shook her insecurities out of her head, it was just Shoto being Shoto, she shouldn't take it personally.
"That wasn't snarky at all, that was just downright mean." She pouted as she puffed her cheeks out like a child, crossing her arms.
"Sorry, didn't mean to." But what if he did? What if he secretly hated her? No, Shoto isn't the type to be fake towards people, he'd tell anyone that he didn't like them, Zadie included.
