THE SOUND OF HARSH TAPPING ON HER WINDOW STARTLED HER AWAKE. She reached over to the nightstand next to her bed and switched on the lamp before opening her window.

"Tomura? How did you get up here?" she asked in shock and disbelief as she grabbed him by his forearms and helped pull him inside.

"Don't worry about it. I told you I'd see you soon."

"I thought you meant that we'd meet again, not that you'd come knocking on my window the next day!"

"Do you want to come with me or not?" he said boredly.

"How did you even find my house?"

Tomura ignored the question. "Are you coming or not?"

A silence filled the air as Zadie thought about it. "Let me go put on some shoes." She turned to her closet and pulled on a pair of socks and her crocs, not bothering to change her pajamas since they were just sweats and a graphic tee.

Tomura led her to the exit where there was a ladder going up to her window. "A ladder? Seriously?" She teased as she looked down.

"I don't see any better options around."

"While we're out, let's get you a cough drop."

"Funny."

"Hilarious, I know."

Zadie wrapped her hand around Tomura's wrist. He flinched at the contact before pulling away. "What's wrong?" Zadie asked, tilting her head.

"Heads up, don't touch me or else you'll die," he said. Zadie cringed at his words.

"What is it? Your quirk, I mean."

"Decay," he answered.

"Oh." She didn't know what answer she expected, but it certainly wasn't that.

"Yeah, oh."

Zadie chuckled. "I don't mind, as long as you don't purposely kill me."

"Never," he laughed.

"Where are we going, Tomura?" she asked.

"Anywhere you'd like. I didn't come here with a plan."

"How about... Oh, a skate park!"

"I don't know how to skateboard."

"Me either," she shrugged. "Let's figure it out."

When they arrived, Zadie found two rocks and turned them into skateboards for her and Tomura.

"Don't we need safety gear?" he snorted.

"Please, safety is for the weak." Zadie kicked off and went rolling. She fell when she tried to stop the board. "Ouch..." Tomura laughed and went to pull her up, keeping his pinky and index finger off of her wrist as he helped her back onto the skateboard.

"What's up with your hand?" he asked, noticing the bandages around it.

"Caught fire, stupid quirk of mine."
