Hey everyone! I am so so so so soooooooo sorry. Life got so busy that I forgot how much I loved writing this story for all of you. I got notifications of some of your comments which reminded me of how much I love writing this. So, I'm going to try and finish this story up! I have at least one partial chapter written from before. I'll post that today. I may edit it later when I have time, but I want to give you all something as a thank you! I'm ending my summer musical tomorrow which should help with free time. I'll try and publish each chapter as soon as I finish them. My guess is this shouldn't take more than 5 more chapters.  Of course, if I get inspired, you never know!! I hope you enjoy this none the less after almost 2 years of nothing. I hope my writing style with the next few chapters after this is alright by all of you. Now, I've held you long enough. I know you've been waiting years, now, on with the story!!!
😁💕💕

First Person POV

We quickly reach the tapestry room; Meridan touches the tear in his mother's tapestry, "Mend the bond. Mend the bond! Stitch it up! This will change you back, we just need a needle and thread."

Eleanor goes to look for a needle and thread to help her son. As she does, she suddenly turns wild and bear-like once again.

My eyes widened in shock at the sight. Not this again. We were so close to fixing this!

"Mom! Mom, not now! No! Please, not now! Mom!" Meridan tries to stop her, but gets his clothes ripped in the process.

She swings at me as well, but only catches the skirt of my dress, not hitting my skin.

Meridan immediately pushes me back gently, towards the door and away from his mother.

I hear Fergus' laughter outside the room as Meridan tries to quiet Eleanor. It does no good.

Fergus must have heard her sounds outside the room before bursting in to find Meridan and I in the tapestry room with Eleanor who has turned wild, looking like a bear.

"Meridan! (Y/N)!" Fergus cries out, rushing forward.

"Dad, no! It's not what you think!" Meridan tries to stop him.

"Meridan, get back!" Fergus goes to attack the bear, not realizing that it's Eleanor.

I cry out, trying to stop him, "No!"

Fergus starts attacking Eleanor with his sword, trying to protect us, but we don't need protecting. We have to find a way to stop him, but.. I don't think we can.

"No, dad! Don't hurt her!" Meridan begs as he struggles with his father to stop him from hitting his mother.

Fergus pushes his son aside, "Meridan! No!"

As Fergus goes to strike Eleanor once again, she hits him and knocks him unconscious.

"No!" I scream, dropping down beside Fergus to make sure he's alive.

At that moment, Eleanor snaps out of her wild behavior. She looks around the room, scared of what she missed.

"Mom!" Meridan says in relief and still a little fear.

I checked Fergus for a pulse, and his heart was still beating. He was alright. As I look back at the two, I can see Eleanor panicking.

Eleanor notices the claw mark on Meridan's clothes, and I can tell she feels ashamed. When she sees mine as well, she feels even worse.

"It's alright. I'm alright. (Y/N) is alright. It's nothing. It's just a little scratch!" Meridan reassures her while putting a guiding hand in front of me to keep Eleanor from getting too close.

She notices this easily. She can tell he's afraid she'll hurt me. Eleanor runs out of the room, past the both of us.

Meridan cries out, "Mom!" before he runs after her.

I stay by Fergus's side. I know he'll be in a panic when he wakes up.

As he starts to come to, I try to calm him down we he starts swinging his arms wildly.

"Get away from my kids you!!" He cries.

I quickly grab onto his arms to stop him, "Fergus! She's gone! It's just us!"

Fergus looks down at me, in a slight relief to know I'm ok. He places his hand on my cheek in a comforting manor, "Oh, thank the stars.. are you alright dear? That horrid bear didn't get ya did it now?"

"No no, I'm fine, Meridan and I are both totally fine. But you have to listen to us. That's not just a bear!" I try to reason with him.

Meridan comes back in at that moment, "Dad!"

"Oh, count your stars, lad. It almost had you. Are you hurt?" Fergus gets up to check over his son.

Meridan pulls back, "It's your wife, Eleanor!"

Fergus brushes it off, "You're talking nonsense!"

"It's the truth! There was a witch and she gave Meridan a spell. It's not Mor'du!" I speak up quickly. We need to stop him from doing anything rash.

Fergus shakes his head, grabbing his sword and putting it on his hilt, "Mor'du or not, I'll avenge your mother! I'll not risk losing you both as well!"

"No, dad! Just listen to me!" Meridan pleads.

Fergus quickly exits the room before turning back and locking us in the tapestry room and goes after Eleanor.

Meridan rushes up to the small window and cries out it, after his father, "Listen, you can't! It's your wife, Eleanor!"

But he didn't stop, he left us locked inside the room, unable to stop the terrible fate that Eleanor was sure to have.

Meridan bangs on the door, "Agh!" He's exhausted, and he can't do a thing. His mother is going to die at the hands of his own father, and he won't even know it.

I quickly step up beside Meridan, grabbing his shoulder to turn him to face me.

As he looks down at me, all I can see is sorrow.

For a moment, we don't move. Then I pull him in close and hug him tightly as he starts to cry into my hair.

We've failed...
