First Person POV (Flashback)

I yawn as I slowly open my eyes to the early morning light. I stretch out my tired limbs as I slowly sit up. Another yawn escapes my lips as I blink a few times trying to fully wake up. I glance to my window and notice the white clouds and the snow falling from them. I smile excitedly and quickly get up from my bed, heading to the window. I look out at the world being lightly covered by the snow. I giggle before rushing to get dressed for the day.

====== Time Skip======

I rush down the hall to Meridan's room and burst inside. Meridan was still asleep in his bed, his hair a tangled mess around his face and his arms and legs thrown around, peeking out from the blankets. I run up and jump onto Meridan's bed, startling the man awake.

"Ahhh! (Y-Y/N), what the heck?!" Meridan yells trying to calm down from the scare.

I giggle bouncing on his bed. "It's Christmas Meridan!!"

At my words Meridan's face immediately changes from anger to excitement. He sits up smiling bright. "It's Christmas!!!"

The two of us squeal in excitement before Meridan rushes out of bed to get ready.

"This is so exciting!! I love Christmas with your family!!" I smile, remembering back to the past years I've spent with Meridan and his family. Christmas with them was full of joy and love. I don't remember Christmases before I lived with the DunBroch's, it's been so long. I wouldn't trade any of my Christmases with Meridan, Fergus, Eleanor, and the triplets for anything.

"You ready (Y/N)?" Meridan asks as I turn to look at him.

I nod and get off of his bed. He holds his hand out to me and I take it smiling. We quickly run down the stairs hearing the sounds of the boys' laughter.

We enter the throne room seeing the large, decorated Christmas tree with presents beneath it. The boys are around the tree opening presents with Fergus and Eleanor watching them.

Fergus smiles at the two and motions them over. "Meridan! (Y/N)! Come on! We have presents for you two!"

Meridan and I share a look, smiling bright before joining the family on the floor by the tree.

Eleanor passes a gift to Meridan before passing one to me.

I start to unwrap my gift. Inside in a beautiful dress in (F/C). My eyes widened slightly. "This.. this is amazing, thank you Eleanor." I look up at Eleanor as she smiles at me.

"Of course dear. You deserve it." Eleanor gently places her hand on my thigh.

I smile back at her before hugging her tightly. I felt so loved, I was apart of their family and that's all I could ever want.

As I pull back from the hug, I feel a gentle tap on my shoulder. I turn my head to look at Meridan who is holding a small box in his hand. I smile at him. "You didn't have to get me anything Meridan."
